How You Can Be Saved Forever and Know It
"What must I do to be saved?" you ask. Here is God's answer given in Acts 16:31: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Many are deceived, yet they should not be. It is not hard to be saved if one sincerely wishes to come God's way. To do the will of the Father means simply to trust Jesus Christ His Son who died to save you. He paid for all your sins. God is satisfied with the price Jesus paid, and offers free pardon to all who depend upon the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy. All through the Bible that blessed truth is given. Claim these blessed promises today:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16.
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." - John 3:18
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." - John 5:24.

However, one can collect sin in their life and with no repentance, will be unworthy for eternity. Christ saved you, and His job is done.
But in the flesh, we will always be vulnerable to sin and therefore should repent when we fall. It is after all, the flaw in us in the flesh, not in God's Plan of Salvation.

Begin reading the Gospels and then Acts.

Think about it. Pray about it.

The realization will come to you.

The great thing is that Jesus comes to you where you are at: on the Board, in prison, on the street, at the ball game, walking around St. Paul's Basilica, in the woods wanting to thank Something for having such a wonderful day.

You don't need luck.

Just do it.

There was a man hanging on the cross with Christ that was a criminal, was never baptized, not a follower, and broke the Commandments. He believed that Christ was who He said He was. That was enough to secure the thief's eternity in Paradise.

Hi Jakey. :)

Hey, TIR.

I have thought about that scene since I was seven or eight.

Hi Jakey. :)

PTL!! I have good news for you!!! You can live your life as a blessed son of God.

How to be saved=born again and join the family of God!

Romans:
Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13 God says=
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be Saved....................

---------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------

An ""example prayer"" if you have never before talked to God.
Heavenly Father:........................................... ...............................
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of
my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my
heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have
Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe
that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now
to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and
Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the
day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess
with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed
by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen

Hi Jakey. :)

what had the other "criminal" done that got him crucified? I have a burning desire to know. When you say he had broken THE COMMANDMENTS-----it seems to me that you mean one of the TEN COMMANDMENTS-------why would the romans have cared?

Disagree : Jesus died and made the cross holy for us to walk, ...the only way we can lose that is to turn our backs on God, especially when we see the truth..Repent, yes. but lose salvation No..

I still want to know why the other "CRIMINALS" (I think there were three----but I may be wrong----based on distant memory) were being crucified for

I still want to know why the other "CRIMINALS" (I think there were three----but I may be wrong----based on distant memory) were being crucified for

crucifixion was how the romans put people to death.

and there were dozens of so-called "messiahs" crucified.

what I wonder is why on earth, even if jesus were what they say he is, he would ever want to see a cross

The Gospels are a bit mixed other than that they were supposedly thieves. The issue is whether they mocked Jesus. One of the thiefs confessed belief in Him.

right crucifixtion was how romans put people to death for SEDITION AGAINST ROME-------nor for violations of the "TEN COMMANDMENTS"

yes. by all accounts, he was trying to get people to rise up against rome.

who said he was put to death for violating the ten commandments?

The Gospels are a bit mixed other than that they were supposedly thieves. The issue is whether they mocked Jesus. One of the thiefs confessed belief in Him.

Romans did not crucify common thieves -------unless the thievery involved ROMAN
PROPERTY

The Jews had not the power to order the punishment of death at the time of Christ in the Roman Province. Thus they sent the prisoner on to the governor for judgment.

irosie, I don't think anyone here disagrees with your interpretation of how the law was supposed to work.
