The next question to ask is how many democrats are actually pro life in their own personal choices?

The difference to me seems to be that republicans want to tell everyone what they choice they have to make and democrats realize they have no authority to tell other people what choices they have to make.

I am just stating that a woman should take the man’s opinion on the matter into consideration, considering the living being inside here womb is 1/2 his and the fact that he will bear some financial responsiblity for the child once born. Remember, I was replying to the statement that women don’t care what men have to say regarding abortion, which I believe is a completely unethical thing to say.

Clearly the parents aren't tax paying citizens in the community in which they send their kids to public school. So they are a drain on our society. And Republicans want more?

Detroit Public Schools suck because the parents don't make a lot of money so they don't pay a lot of taxes that go to the schools. In MI, us liberals want to spread all the money collected for schools evenly among all the kids going to public schools. So kids in West Bloomfield get the same $ as a kid from Detroit. But rich white Republicans in the suburbs don't want that. They want their schools getting the high tax $ so their kids get the best. They don't want to share.

Note. If a poor kid lived in West Bloomfield in a small apartment with 2 struggling parents, Republicans don't mind giving that kid just as much as their kids. But if it's take their money and share with Detroiters, they don't want to do that. Why? Could it be because Detroiters are black? I think so.

Funding schools has never been fair. I never had any children yet over half my property tax goes to fund our schools. If it were right, then only the parents would pay for the schools. In fact because of my property size, it's likely I'm paying more money for the schools than the people down the street with four kids in the system.

It's bad enough I'm funding education for people in my own suburb, but now you tell me I should also fund yours as well? Where does it stop?

If I'm sending more money to your school, that means my school gets less. Nothing fair about that either.

Probably why it is the way it is. Yes, successful people who pay more school taxes in their cities should have better funded schools. This isn't socialism.

But I do like the idea instead of West Bloomfield getting $5000 per kid and Detroit gets $4000, instead both get $4500.

Like I said if a poor couple live in the low income apartments in your community, they don't pay as much in taxes as you do yet their kids get the same amount because they go to the same school district. So on some level you know better off people are already picking up the slack for poor people. You'll allow it as long as the poor person lives in your school district. Why not state wide give every kid the same just like you do in your school district?

Personally most probably do. They've done the math. They don't want to expand social programs to take care of all these unwanted children. Most of whom will end up criminals anyway. Abortion laws do not create any good scenario.
