What exactly is a RINO? MAGA knows her voting record. MAGA calls her a RINO anyway.

Clearly ”RINO” just means anyone who calls themselves a Republican and does not kiss Trump‘s ass.

The term “RINO” has existed for a long time. I’m sure the term was more nuanced before, but it is a different term today. It has nothing to do with policy positions or voting records. They just want Trump to have his ass kissed.

Edit: I see conservatives here pretending they hate her for other reasons. Stop it. Their hatred for Liz Cheney is entirely due to her not kissing Trump’s ass. Nothing else. They never uttered a negative word about her on this forum until after she turned on Trump.

I agree that the charge of "insurrection" was overheated and unjustified, and that Cheney has gone too far in her anti-MAGA position. I also agree that the J6 rioters have been treated overly harshly. However, it is a very serious matter when a President stalls on doing all he can to halt a riot at the Capitol building, a riot that included assaults on police officers and the destruction of federal property.

That deliberate delay alone made Trump an accessory after the fact, if not an accessory during the crime. For that reason alone, he deserved to be impeached and removed from office. I find it baffling that so many Republicans are giving him a pass on this.

Actually, she's not taking it far enough.

The GOP survived Hoover, McCarthy, and Nixon because, at a certain point, if a personality in the party became too toxic, the party wisely washed its hands of them. It might take a cycle or two, but denouncing toxic politicians and philosophies is how the GOP (and to a lesser degree the Democrats) have evolved and prospered.

Trump is far more toxic than all three of them combined. His racism, misogyny, corruption, and malignant narcissism has consumed the party. Long after he is off the political stage, the GOP will be scrubbing this stain off of itself.

I'm sorry, I was too busy noticing that my income dropped by $13,000 in 2020 to see the so-called Trump prosperity. (On the other hand, it increased by $25,000 in 2021)

Liz Cheney is a status quo country club republican who much like Mitt Romney and the Bush family catered to the political and media elites and not the voters she was supposed to be representing and that finally came back to bite her.
