There are >23,000 deaths, >17 million medical visits, and >390,000 hospitalizations. from 'flu' according to CDC. How many of these are actually coronavirus which is being misreported as flu?

The CDC is reporting that cases are still increasing, and now they are calling them "influenza-like" illness to demonstrate the uncertainty as to what they actually are.

Could many of the 'flu' cases actually be Covid19?

Could Covid19 have mutated from the 'flu' virus? Could the 'flu' virus have mutated form Covid19?

There are more unknown knowns than there are known knowns.

CDC found that the percentage of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness increased to 5.8% in the week ending on March 14, up from 5.2% the previous week. The national baseline for those visits is 2.4%. ...

There are people who are asymptomatic who test positive. If one of them dies from something else, it is the something else that killed them, not COVID-19.

Why are asymptomatic people tested whereas many symptomatic people have not been tested?

Free red-hat for correct answer.

Flu curves for the year are winding down... Saw that chart this week. Covid is still winding up..

Covid is a close relative of SARS and a distant relative to the common cold.. There are many "corona viruses".. This one is suspected to originate from animals..

There are "missed cases" of Covid when the symptoms are mild.. Many folks never even seek medical help.. That's why we DONT KNOW the number of infections.. They are likely to be much higher than the "reported/diagnosed" cases.. CDC estimates infections are somewhere near TWICE the "reported" cases. But others outside the CDC in academia are estimating actual infections to be MANY TIMES the "diagnosed/reported" cases because MOST people don't know they have it or the symptoms are mild.. Just like a "normal" flu...

Not real important to WASTE test kits right now to figure that out if infections are higher and symptoms are milder or non-existent for a larger group of people...

This all gets sorted out with another kind of test AFTER things settle down.. Researchers can randomly sample the population using simple blood draws and looking for anti-bodies that were created when the person HAD the infection...

trust me.. You'd rather get the blood draw then the tube down your nose and into your throat... It's NOT comfortable. You'll cry rivers of tears when they do it..

But DO IT if you need to.. You'll fully recover in a minute or two... Not as bad as getting a video probe stuck down there by an Ear/Nose/Throat doc..

wth?

None.

Ya see, when people die these days they get tested for Corona.

Even the 17 year old who died from overdosing on fentanyl was tested for CV and was positive.
But his death was a drug overdose.
