How do we get out of this?

Buddy, ALL you are doing here is just giving IRAN a pass for everything, and holding the US responsible for EVERYTHING, even Iranian actions.
I've given them no pass.
We are responsible for the turmoil the world is going through right now.
Some lessons I have learned from history.

1. Don't pay much attention to what disloyal lefties say. They are the enemy of America. **** THEM. A LOT.

2. Shit nations like Iran and North Vietnam don't play by the old rules. So ** them as hard as you feel is called for. ANyone whines about it, ** them too.
Man, talk about teeing one up for me.

You're the one whining about the tactics Iran is using.

So yes...**** you.

Wow. That lack of self awareness, never ceases to amaze me.

You just denied giving them a pass, then you gave them a pass, by blaming US, for everything.

You are utterly retarded.

Except, i'm not. It is relevant when leftards blame America for this, to point out that IRAN is the one blocking the straits, not US.

I'm not personally upset over it. It is part of the issue and then gets discussed....

Oh, wait, you are just shit talking. Sorry to take you seriously for a second.

today trump says we dont need the straight.
We don't need the Strait. You seem uninformed.

I just keep thinking about the "intelligence" Trump was given before this. I wonder what contrary information he ignored.

I wonder how many Generals tried to talk him out of it.

but he knows more than the generals.

I wonder how many critical, knowledgeable, experienced, connected people had been fired in the State Department because they didn't or wouldn't wear a red hat.

More than 3,800 State Dept. employees departed since Trump took office

The State Department saw a departure of more than 3,800 employees since Trump took office through a combination of reductions in force, staffers taking the Fork in the Road deferred resignation plan and ordinary retirements. According to estimates by the American Foreign Service Association, the labor union that represents foreign service officers, senior foreign service ranks were disproportionately represented in the layoffs compared to their share of the overall workforce.

“He’s making choices without the larger expertise of the United States government that would flag issues of consequence,” said Max Stier, CEO of the nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit group that studies federal workforce issues. “Sometimes government is slow-moving because there are a lot of different factors that need to be balanced against each other.”

For instance, the administration appears to have been caught off guard by what would happen once the U.S. struck Iran — something Trump himself acknowledged this week when he expressed surprise that Tehran retaliated with strikes on American allies in the region. “Nobody expected that. We were shocked. They fought back,” Trump told reporters this week.
State Department cut jobs with deep expertise in Middle East as Iran crisis escalates

I wonder who has been whispering in his ear.

I wonder what Bebe has on him.

Now, at best, he's trying to play catch-up. He needs Europe's help now. God damn. There is no excuse for that. He clearly did this whole thing completely unaware of the downside.

donny is purely transactional & literally lives in the moment that most benefits him & is uncapable of any long range thoughts.

He/we may luck out. But this has clearly been a study in abject incompetence, and perhaps worse.

i'm going with worse. howeverrrrrrrrrrrr.... hope springs eternal & we as americans are at THE crossroads because we will have only one shot @ revolution 2.0.

if 'we' get the house, then he is hobbled when it comes to his agenda. if 'we' get both chambers, then impeachment, trial, he's out & then he can go see letitia james. he cannot be pardoned on state charges, & in 2028, if he hasn't stroked out, he can then stand trial for treason & hung. of course, i am probably having my druthers with that last one.

My guess is most of the time being spent by the idiots running the country is focused on how to extract us from the mess the orange nut sack got us in to while trying to save face. The most recent deadline extension being made to give the dopes more time to figure out a plan.

but he knows more than the generals.
Back when we had normal, mature, competent leadership, we would have confirmed that every eventuality had been wargamed out by the proper people in the Pentagon, and analyzed carefully from every last goddamn angle.

But now, since only those who wear red hats are given any attention at all, we're stuck. Now we have to get lucky, and Trump is still whining that Europe won't "come to our rescue", and that's an exact goddamn quote.

We have the dual problem of not all eventualities being considered but also the nitwits in charge coming to the wrong conclusions about those that are. Because...........stupid, inexperienced, unqualified.

Despite the buildup of troop levels in the area I don't know if the Generalissimo of MAL is willing to launch a ground assault on Iran given the level of US casualties that may result. Absent an assault, diplomacy is the only solution. But trump's immaturity and petulant nature (not to mention the nitwits he has surrounded himself with) makes any sort of compromise soon unlikely.

The longer it drags out the worse it is for the global economy. This calamity will be his legacy along with trying to steal the 2020 election.

It's really tough to believe that he's going to let our troops get killed here.

Iran clearly isn't buying his obvious bluffs, so unless he lucks out, he'll have to give them at least some of what they want. Then he'll claim victory, of course. I think he's still lucid enough to know he has to find a way out of there no matter what.

Both sides have reasons to compromise. For Iranian leadership, stop more destruction of the country. For the orange piece of dung, stop more destruction of the economy.

Only in 2026 America do we need $200 billion for a war that the "President" has said we've already "won".
Maybe Trump found his offramp...

The goal now seems to be to open the Strait of Hormuz.

(Which, of course, was open before the war.)

Yeah, I think that if he gets anything there, he's out. Then he and his cult will crow about his "great victory".

The Strait is closed because of him in the first place. So again, he creates chaos and has to jump back in to fix it.

And his sycophants and supporters will pat him on the head and tell him, good job making a poopy in the potty like a big boy.

The bar for this man is just so low.

That's the whole game right now. If the Strait was open troops would be heading home, not towards the ME.

For Bebe it's different. He's bombing things and killing people as fast as he can in case there's a ceasefire.

A child who is not held to account for his negative words and actions will usually exhibit increased negative words and actions.

Standard human nature. It's not a mystery.
