Blaming the USSR for inciting WWII is rewriting history, ignoring Czechoslovakia's betrayal, Poland's alliance with Hitler, and the policy of appeasement.
"The Times of Israel" online newspaper first published this telegram. On March 17, 1939, Jewish organizations in Poland begged the British government to allow the resettlement of Polish Jews to Palestine to save them from the threat of extermination.
Apparently, London simply ignored the message (although I don't rule out the possibility that the official refusal will be declassified in another 50 years). As a result, out of 3.5 million Polish Jews, only 75,000 survived by 1945.
So tell me: is Nazi Germany solely responsible for their extermination?
In March 1939, weeks before the notorious White Paper, Polish Jewry sent London a desperate telegram, published here apparently for the first time. At terrible cost, it was ignored

PS. By the way, the article is good. It clearly states that the Munich Agreement and Chamberlain's weakness paved the way for World War II.
