"On Friday, Judge Monte Watkins accepted the plea deal made between the office of the Nashville District Attorney General and former Metro Nashville Metro Police Officer Andrew Delke. Instead of facing a jury of his peers, Andrew Delke’s charge was minimized from first-degree murder to voluntary manslaughter and will only serve a maximum of three years for ruthlessly killing Daniel Hambrick.

While Daniel Hambrick’s mother, Vickie Hambrick, expected to meet with District Attorney General Glenn Funk to talk strategy on the case, she was hit with the blow of betrayal when Funk disclosed that he made a closed door deal that would make history: Andrew Delke will be the first Metro Nashville officer to be charged, receive a felony conviction, and serve time for killing a Black person."

Although it is sad that this officer was charged with anything; at least he won't be doing any serious time; only 3 years maximum.... However, after the reaction of the dead guy's mother; the court should drop all charges and charge this hateful racist mother instead.

Instead of accepting the officer's apology, this ungrateful c*nt went on to attack this man, telling him she hated him; saying he better watch his back in prison and calling him numerous expletives -- just utterly savage behavior --boo-hoo, your son is dead...so what? why couldn't she be forgiving? She is obviously not a woman of God... and if this is the kind of evil hateful woman she is; maybe it's a good thing her son is dead....but her violent outburst should be grounds for his conviction to be dismissed and for her to be arrested for her violent behavior.

This is why things like Federal Hate crimes came about.

Delke began following a white Chevrolet Impala that he became suspicious of when the driver didn’t pull in front of Delke’s patrol vehicle. Delke ran the vehicle’s license plate information and learned the Impala was not stolen, Dowdy said. But he continued to follow the vehicle, even though he was not able to see who was driving. Delke eventually tried to stop the vehicle by turning on his patrol vehicle’s blue lights,

He shot him because someone else would not pull in front of him. He had absolutely NO justification for stopping him.

In reality he was lying.

In case no one saw the shooting....

It was an absolutely textbook case of a good shooting......

Basically the guy was running.....then you see Delke running behind him and shoot him in the back and the guy drops....good shooting....

You’re crazy. Shooting a guy in the back who can’t harm you, is never a good shoot. It’s murder.

It’s murder.
Duh.

That shooting video is instructive though. After dropping a black kid by carefully aiming and shooting them square in the back.. just stand there.. both arms fully extended.. keep aiming! Only after making damn sure that "Shooting a guy in the back who can’t harm you" has resulted in no further movement from them whatsoever.. Begin approaching, robotically, both arms still fully extended,.. tiring as that may seem,.. But never get closer than 20 feet away. Rather, begin circling clockwise until you succeed in deputizing a local resident and getting them to call for police backup. Reason obviously being, scary, harmless black people who've been shot down often quickly turn into zombies who will eat your brains!

Just like what that cop did to Ashli Babbitt, but you cheered that one. Why?

And exactly why was he running from the police?
What crime was he accused with other than running? I'm sure that the officer was afraid that this fugitive was going to run into the school and cause more harm to children.

I live in Nashville...the neighborhood this happened in was once so rough that police didn't go into that neighborhood...but it's been being cleaned up...new housing and condominiums. Lots of illegal Drugs are being distributed in that neighborhood still...one of the last few holdout areas.

And I feel really bad for the officer and his family.

We've had several bad police chiefs before the one that just quit when this happened. We likely are getting another bad one. I know many of the officers. (Older ones not new ones)

This is Nashville...if you don't give the police a reason they usually don't do anything to anyone. Been this way since the 90's. (Except for one who wanted tons of traffic tickets...and that pissed off the whole town... people are still hot over that one today) We have not ever had racial issues. We've had class warfare... between the rich and the poor...but that's about it. If you act all ghetto you probably will have a difficult time keeping employment. However...show up on time and be respectful....no matter how bad you are at your job we have had a severe labor shortage and so you likely stay employed or hired on the spot even if you are incompetent.

Three years? Three for one serving time? (It changes regularly) He likely will miss Christmas this year but not Easter next.

Three years when he should get a life sentence. Justice in America surely is NOT blind.

Got anything other than unqualified, unquantified rhetoric?

Probably not....

Yeah condemning cop murder is just so cliche.

Are you talking about piece of shit criminal with an illegal gun? That guy robs people. Why would anyone care about him? Why do you people keep trying to make us feel sorry for criminals? What the fuck is wrong with you?

Fuck that guy, and fuck his loser mother for raising that hunk of shit. She deserves worse than losing that awful son of hers.

Illegal gun? Explain.

Must she be cliche and not be able to speak english or something close to? This said--perhaps if she didn't have a below average iq and a welfare ho----she would have taught her son to obey police orders to stop and drop whatever was in his hands. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. This isn't the cops fault---but the mothers and the son she produced.
