IF is used to promote a theory, nothing more nothing less. The fact is without the private sector investment in developing fracking technology the worlds oil supply would have remained constant, dominated by the mid east and oil producing nations, supply and demand would have pushed oil prices up. Gore's policies on the other hand would have prohibited fracking, introduced carbon credits, global warming initiatives, higher pump and energy prices, and we would be dependent upon foreign oil. As for foreign policy, Iraq and Afghanistan would never have been invaded, no sanctions, terrorism would be rampant, the US would be on defensive footing, Qaddafi still in power, with a nuclear Iraq and Iran. The economic collapse would have still occurred, economic growth would be nonexistent, national debt increased , taxes increased, and Obama would still be a pathetic back bench senator from Illinois. So how about that for IF?
