Foreign oil is foreign oil. The money is leaving the country. Go ahead. Argue.
So then your Argument is there is no Difference between sending our Money to Canada, Who's People spend a lot of money in the US by the way, or sending it to Saudi Arabia?
That about the size of it? Or are you just so small of a mall that you can not admit that your entire Premise is about as Credible as a pile of steaming Horse shit?
Buying Oil from Canada is a Great Idea. Stable Supply, Close Long time ally, Easy Delivery By Pipe line, We Share a 3000 Mile Border with them, and a very intertwined Economy. Good News for Canada's Economy = Good News for us as well. Less money going to Unstable, Unfriendly Countries over seas.
The Real reason these lefties are so against this Pipe line. Is Because it's From the Oil Sands Project in Canada. Shale Oil as we know it. And Guess what they have been telling us for Years That kind of Oil would never be Cost Effective, We would never be able to get it out of the ground and processed for less energy than you put into it. Yet Canada is doing it, and it works, and we have HUGE deposits of Similar Material Here in the US in the Rockies. Deposits so big if we could tap them all we would have more oil than the Entire Middle easy at it's Hey Day. Liberals don't like that. Kinda kills the "were running out right now" Argument. They think it will lower the Pressure to move to Green Energy.
They don't understand that the only way a Move to Green energy will work, is when it becomes Economically Viable. Once the Industry can Deliver Cost Effective Alternatives that the Market Wants, the Change will happen fast. Funding Research is a great Idea, But Just lending Billions to Companies with no over site isn't. If were going to spend Billions on Trying to Push Green Energy, Spend it Directly on Research and Development you control, not Huge Loans to Big Donors.
But what ever you do know this. Oil is going to be with us for a long time, It will take Decades to get totally off it, and even then. There are Hundreds if not thousands of Products that have Petroleum Products in them. Oil will always be in Demand, and it is Silly of us not to Go After our own Resources.
