Parkland student shot 5 times shielding other students

is the first to sues the school and the Broward county sheriffs

first of many

A 15-year-old who was grievously wounded in the Florida school shooting has filed notice that he will sue authorities to seek money to cover the cost of his recovery.

A lawyer for Anthony Borges and his family says the sheriff’s office, the school resource officer, the Broward County school system and the principal at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School failed to protect students from the teen gunman who killed 17 people and wounded more than a dozen others on Valentine’s Day.

‘The failure of Broward County Public Schools, and of the principal and school resource officer to adequately protect students, and in particular our client, from life-threatening harm were unreasonable, callous and negligent,’

attorney Alex Arreaza wrote in the lawsuit notice on Monday. ‘Such action or inaction led to the personal injuries sustained by my client.’

They need to reflect on their own community and culpability in allowing for a gun free zone. If they can't demonstrate that they protested their gun free zone before the incident then they have no case.

i am glad they are doing it

they may have a hard time since the SC has ruled

that law enforcement has no duty to protect you

the schools however may be culpable it happened on their grounds

and they are the ones who developed the safety plan or lack there of

they have to prove he could've prevented his being shot
what's the timeline??

what's the cop's patrol routine?
he can't be everywhere at once though
does he stay in one place when he's at the school?? he shouldn't...he should be patrolling
obviously kids were shot before the cop even knew what was going on

there are witnesses to the cop hiding outside during the shooting

however like i said he might not be held culpable

but the school will

it happened on their property

and they are the ones who made the safety policies
