Neither do I. The only shooting I ever do is hustling drunks in the pool hall. But my wife and I have protection in case of intruders.I went through a short phase in my life where I was opposed to guns, I don't really care for them. I don't like them.
That said, I'm all for stricter background checks and registering all the firearms. If a gun owner dies, for example, whoever inherits his guns should be required by law to either sell them or have them registered in their names. Same with all private gun sales....I don't care if it's a gun show at the Omni Convention Center or out of the back of a Ryder rental truck.
At this point? I can't say I am concerned. All of the government and corporate propaganda from the elites? The percentage of folks harmed from gun violence from civilians compared to the amount of civilians harmed by the STATE? The left is always on about the broken policing system, and they are right. It bugs me that they rail against guns in one breath, and then want to depend on the police in the next? INSANITY!
so meh. I am not buying it. NONE OF IT. I'm old enough now, and you are too, I know things are not getting any worse. Things are the same as they have always been. I know who and what we really need to fear. This propaganda campaign we are being blitzed by is intended to get us to move and take action, the US law system is based on incrementalism. If we do something now? They will blitz us with more propaganda and have us do more in another five years, they won't be happy till the guns are gone. COUNT ON IT.
Everytown for Gun Safety is an American nonprofit organization which advocates for gun control and against gun violence.[7] Everytown was founded in 2006, combining Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.[8] Everytown for Gun Safety is largely financed by Michael Bloomberg,[9] who also founded the group.[10]

The real reason Michael Bloomberg cares about guns
OPINION: The real reason Michael Bloomberg cares about guns
". . . . In an extensive interview with The New York Times, the former mayor outlined his plan for a nationwide lobbying effort designed to counteract and overwhelm the National Rifle Association. He certainly has the cash: Despite its notoriety, the NRA spends only about $20 million a year, and relies heavily on the grassroots enthusiasm of its members. Bloomberg, on the other hand, shrugged at the idea of throwing in an experimental $50 million “as if he were describing the tip he left on a restaurant check.”

Whose guns?
There’s no doubt America needs to curb gun use and possession. The question is, whose guns? There are 34,500 members of the NYPD, and in 2012 they fatally shot 16 people. That gives Bloomberg’s army a rate of over 46 shooting deaths per 100,000, killing people at a clip that dwarfs any civilian level in the country. To put it in perspective, Chicago — an American city known for gun violence — hit its peak murder rate of 34 per 100,000 in 1992. American law enforcement is increasingly militarized — as Radley Balko reports in his book “Rise of the Warrior Cop”: “Driven by martial rhetoric and the availability of military-style equipment — from bayonets and M-16 rifles to armored personnel carriers — American police forces have often adopted a mind-set previously reserved for the battlefield.” And this army takes a lot of prisoners: While gun violence has markedly declined following heightened crime in the ’90s, incarceration rates haven’t returned to earth, nearly quintupling since the early ’70s, making Americans the most imprisoned people in the world.. . . "
In the end, they just want to make controlling the population, closing society down, and making martial law easier.
They don't give two shits about making life safer for anyone or saving lives. They don't give a crap if anyone lives or dies.
