I'm really happy for the Obama supporters testimonials. I'm certain both Obama and the DNC wish you were 'average', alas you're not. The average family income is down over $4k. The average family's home is worth less than 65% of what it was when he took office. The average family has one or more 20 year old still living at home. Good news is those 20+ year olds are now referred to as children and insurable on mom or pop's insurance, if they are lucky enough to have their jobs.

In a way I agree with you. Right now we have job openings at my work and it has been hard feeling them. My job isn't glamorous but it pays the bills.

I don't think that many remember the incredible uncertainty that took place in October 2008 when Bush was bailing out Wall Street.

A great many of the worst days happened in Bush's thankfully waning days. Say what you want about the DJIA but it's one of the bellweather signs of confidence--often times misplaced confidence in my view.

I do admire the work ethic, as I do my own. I'm drawing salaries on 3 employers, as I've done for over 2.5 years, since being rif'd from parochial school due to merger. 2 are substitute positions, 1 is retailer. I'm lucky compared to other subs I know. The retailer caters to my school hours, during breaks gives me full time. Same with summer. All told, I'm making about $18k per year. I work between 35-45 hours during the school year, 40 in summers. No insurance-I could get it from retailer, but can't afford it. Got to pay for utilities and food, gas, and insurance.

Are they hard to fill because people aren't qualified or are they hard to fill because no one wants them. There is a difference.


There are jobs here in NJ in Respiratory Therapy but not eveyone has the credentials or the ability to take 2 years to get them.
