That "is" kinda my point here.To quote Bill Clinton, "That depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

Of that...I have no doubt!I am also quite certain that those who arrive in Heaven, and perhaps those who arrive in Hell, are going to be absolutely amazed at how much of all this we got wrong.
This one is pretty good. Not experiencing something means it doesn't exist. I can work with that, thanks.
Hmm interesting point. Another question that I don't know the answer to.![]()
That depends on what is good and evil. I like to say, "If it feels good, then it must be good for you", but morality is a far bigger issue.
It's amazing to know how much you don't know isn't it?
So since I've never been to Alaska...it doesn't exist?![]()
But, neither of those is an accurate account of salvation, or the lack thereof. If you lived as a good soul, and you pass inspection at the final judgement, once you die, then heaven is where you will spend eternity.
If you are an evil soul, and you don't pass inspection after death, you spend eternity in HELL!
I've never been there either, so if we do go there, will it suddenly exist?
If that's the case...then we live in a simulation...and there is quite a bit of evidence that we do.
But if that's the case...does it really change anything?
people will know us by our fruits.
Do you mean an alternate reality?
Nope...I mean we might live in a computer simulation. Where the only thing that is actually real is our thoughts.
I think...therefore I am. THAT is the one thing I can be certain of...even if my own arms and legs aren't real and don't exist...I know my thoughts are my own...therefore I exist!
"I think, therefore I am" is more like how it really is. And that tree in the forest, the one that falls when no one is there to hear it? It doesn't make a noise, but it does make a sound.
