The town was named after a notorious anti-Semite, as well as an Islamophobe (which should fire up libs)

Yet his name still graces the tremendous City of Champions.

I'm not alone on this, but I am one of the first to suggest naming the tremendous city after a great man that was born not far away from the shores of the Mississippi River.

How about East Saint Limbaugh as a new name ?

Oh, I'm IN on that. 🏆

Did they ever fix that place up? I went through their on a Trail Ways bus in 1981 and it looked like bombed out European cities at the end of WW2. Just skeletons of buildings some just one tall wall standing.

Hasn't East St Louis, at times been #1 in murder-rate?

I don't know about that, but I'll concede that it has had a high homicide rate in the past, but it also has its points of positivity including a very reasonably priced housing market.

This house is 22k in ESL, but in a hell hole like San Fran it would be plenty more. Further, East St. Louis is well known for ample free parking, unlike places like NYC or Washington DC
