Have you considered what life will be like in post-democracy America?

Where are primaries mentioned in the Constitution?
They are not. Nor are political parties, but we have them anyway, and they are very powerful. Primaries gave some power back to voters. Until now, that is.
How do you feel about ballot referendums?
For some issues they're appropriate, some not. I wouldn't want all laws to be passed that way, though.

Are you payed to spew this garbage? You are absolutely batshit crazy! Trump and Democracy is an oxy-moron.

Are you saying, a man who embraces autocratic and dictators, would ensure democracy in America?
His being voted fairly into the white house after having been voted to be the candidate would be a step toward democracy.

Indeed they are.

Primaries gave some power back to voters. Until now, that is.

Oh dear, how will our country survive

For some issues they're appropriate, some not. I wouldn't want all laws to be passed that way, though.

So, democracy is good of choosing our leaders, but not choosing our laws.

Seems a bit backwards.

The country will survive, and so will the people. The people who can take care of themselves without a government check will be perfectly fine, no matter how leaders are selected.
So, democracy is good of choosing our leaders, but not choosing our laws.

Seems a bit backwards.
I don't see why that seems backwards, nor w hy you think I said democracy is not good choosing our laws.

Are you going to be ok? Your Govt check should be safe, we always need teachers.

I don't see why that seems backwards, nor w hy you think I said democracy is not good choosing our laws.

Because you do not want to use democracy to choose our laws.

Are you going to be ok? Your Govt check should be safe, we always need teachers.
Yeah, I'll be fine. Stop all government checks and I'll work in the private sector as I did for decades and was fine. Had a stay at home wife raising five kids and did great.

Teaching is a form of semi-retirement for me. I hear government workers complain about how hard they work and I laugh and laugh.
Because you do not want to use democracy to choose our laws.
I didn't say that, so please stop lying.

Trump will get elected, Democracy lives. If Harris wins goodbye democracy and hello Marxism.
So you are paid to spew this garbage?

Tell me, does Trump plan to save democracy by eliminating the US Constitution?

Or is he going to save democracy by going after political rivals?

Or will he save it by unleashing the military against protesting Americans?

So tell me, how the fuck will Trump ensure democracy?

His being voted fairly into the white house after having been voted to be the candidate would be a step toward democracy.
WTF are you talking about? He is voted fairly! He's voted too fairly in my opinion.

Whereas the media grills Biden and Harris, Trump is never challenged on the bullshit things he says.

Negative. Trump will NOT eliminate the constitution. Harris is the one to make a this country a dictatorship.

Since no one seems willing to give a serious answer to my question - and you were under no obligation to - I'll answer it.

America will still be a great place to live for some people and a good place to live, relatively speaking, for the majority of people.

Those of us who have been highly successful under our current system and who recognize the end of democracy for what it is, will continue to thrive under the new way. Those who have lived the life of whiners, complaining about America as it is now, the most free and most opportunity-filled lad ever on Earth will continue to whine when we are less free and have less opportunities.

In fact, they may be even more miserable than before, because when they saw that the DNC chooses the next president, and not the voters, they may be elated that there will be no more evil Republicans, the cause of all their failures. Only to realize that their lves are no better without an opposition party.

Just as that lady who thought she would automatically become rich because "we got Barack Obama," found herself with a pinch more of the welfare crumbs than before, if that.

The key for the smart ones will be to quickly get over the loss of democracy and realize that there is still money to be made, and keeping the same level of freedome as before (except in voting), will only cost a little of it. In Mexico, the saying goes "if you gon't have enough freedom, you can always buy a little more."

So, shall it be here.

How will that work in practice? We will learn to cultivate personal servants among the class we used to call "public servants." We will not call them servants, but friends, and we will be generous with christmas bonuses, graduation and wedding gifts for their children, trips on anniversaries, etc. They will assist us with any problems with the new bureaucracy built by unelected leaders. Problems will disappear, by the simple method of the losing or deleting of files, citations tossed in the garbage, cases removed from dockets by bought out court clerks. Taxes can be reduced from confiscatory levels to only what it costs to bribe the tax clerks.

We may resent having our hard earned money go to the keepers of official seals and badges, but at least we will be free.

When the worst fears of any individual government lover are realized, when they are drafted to fight another endless war, when they inherit their parents' house only to have it confiscated in the name of imminent domain, when they have to sell their old car for junk, and ride busses and walk, because non-electric, or older cars are banned, they will then swear to vote out the rascals who did it at the next opportunity.

That opportunity will never come, though. Once democracy is gone, it is very unlikely to come back. And it is the cheerleaders for the end of democracy who will suffer the most.

Couldn't happen to nice people . . .

Hey dumbass, between the two, only one has stated the desire to be a dictator and it wasn't Harris!

Hey shit for brains, between the two, only one admires autocrats and dictators around the world and its not Harris!

Hey numbnuts, between the two, only one kisses Putin's ass and it isn't Harris!
You think I am dumb. Don't make my friend
