Zone1 Has the movie "Sling Blade" been banned on WOKE PLATFORMS ???

Was trying to rent to watch the movie "Sling Blade" on the video streaming platforms, and to my amazement none of the major platforms offer it.

I was redirected to a platform called Red Coral Universe ?
Never heard of this platform before. Anyone else heard of it ?

One would think that as popular a movie as Sling Blade was, the industry would be very adamant about keeping it on their platforms as a major source of revenue generation. The movie is timeless. Billy Bob Thrortons masterful character and role was brilliant.
I'll me some o' them mustard and biscuits, mmmm hmmm.

Every time I've encountered this it's connected with legalities, licensing etc not political correctness.
It's so coincidental that one can't help but think that it's political, and this is because people are in the business to make money, so here we have a super hot movie being caught up in legal disputes or licensing issue's that causes millions to not be gone after over such trivial BS ???

FYI it's available at Walmart for $29.

I've heard that, but who has a CD player anymore ? I Don't 😆

I just want to pay my $3.99 rental fee, and watch the dang movie.

Maybe we need to go back to CD or VHS, and this way we can't be controlled by woke platforms that aren't operating in the best interest of it's customer's.

I'm not a Johnny Depp fan.

Where can I stream Sling Blade the movie?

AI Overview

Sling Blade (1996) is primarily available to rent or purchase through digital retailers rather than streaming on major subscription services. It is available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home (Vudu), and Google Play.
You should be able to rent it on YouTube as well.

If your local library has DVDs available, you might check one out. Or see if they can get a copy.

You can get a used copy on Ebay or thrift stores, or discount bookstores........depending on where you live.

My library has gone online with most of their videos. You can see if your local library has an account with Kanopy.com
Kanopy shows videos from different libraries who participate in this online movie/TV show site.
It does NOT cost anything. BUT......your local library DOES need to be registerd with Kanopy and you NEED a library card for that library.
Then you can register on Kanopy.com online with that library card and watch movies and TV shows online.

You only get to watch so many hours of video a month though. So you have to be careful how much you watch during the month.

Huh.

You'd think they'd keep it in circulation, especially since John Ritter plays a gay man.

Hands down, one of THE best American movies ever made.

These days you're right, but it's probably when Carl said "A man ought not to lay with another man, hmmm because it ain't right according to the good book"... That line probably caused the movie to get ditched in certain circles.

I agree. We have several of them at my church. Most of the religious teaching materials our teachers use are on disc. I have one at home as well.

LOL, I never get rid of anything that works and I hate selling stuff. I still have cassette players, CD players, turntables, DVD players etc. and I still use them. In Feb. I lost my internet connection for a month and since everything I do is connected with the internet, I was forced to revert to my DVD and CD collections. I was glad I had them.

Same here. Remember -- technology fails.
