I stopped going to movie theaters in 2015.I don't do theaters in the US. Asia? Love them. In the US, I haven't for many years preceding COVID.
I think this trend will continue. People don't want to pay to be around ghetto trash.
Super Girl and Avengers are the only ones I'm interested in.With the stacked lineup of 2026 movie releases will it be the biggest movie year of this century? It definitely wont be the biggest dollar year likely due to people's new habit of being homebodies since COVID who just wait for streaming. However the line up is pretty loaded.
What other releases are you looking forward to? Particularly the new and original films at the bottom.

I take it you oppose the Civil Rights movement and desegregation. The problem is that the blacks and trailer trash are a short ride away. There is definitely no shortage of either.
The idea of sitting in a theater surrounded by these savages, the stench of skunked marijuana (poverty), and uncontrolled verbal spasms gives me chills.
The 3D experience of the first one was really something else, it was spectacular.I liked but didnt love either of the first two Avatar's. I seem to be in the minority. Those movies kill it at the box office. Especially worldwide. Im tempted to see in theater for the visuals.
Why Americans Love Individualism But Hollywood Fights It
Jan 6, 2026
“American audiences are in love with individualism,” says author Tim Sandefur, "in love with heroes who accomplish their dreams."The Pursuit of Happyness is film about a man who becomes homeless, but never gives up on his dream. Audiences loved it.In the original Wizard of Oz, Dorothy discovers she always had the power to accomplish her dream: going back home to Kansas. But in the new version, Wicked, they focus on the Wicked Witch. They turn her from villain to victim. She’s a victim because she’s green. Her dream is for other people to accept her. She doesn’t have the power to realize her dream, other people do.“Hollywood very often is trying to propagandize to us about the evils of individualism.” says Sandefur. In the recent Wonder Woman sequel, the villain is a man who grants wishes. This threatens the world. To save it, every individual must give up what they want. When woke movies flop, Hollywood often blames the audience. When her new Charlie’s Angels reboot did poorly, director Elizabeth Banks blamed men, saying: “Men don’t go see women do action movies.” But men loved the original Charlie’s Angels, Tomb Raider, Lucy, Resident Evil, Kill Bill, Aliens, etc... In this video, the author of the new book, You Don’t Own Me, says today’s woke Hollywood doesn’t understand what audiences want."
The movies suck but you'll watch them at home? You can go to unlimited movies at the theater for $20 a month so if that is too much for you I think you may have a bigger problem than movie ticket costs. Shit, I pay $30 a month just to wash my car.The movies all suck cost too much Ill wait and watch on my big screen TV
I didn't watch the whole video, I just skimmed it.Dumbest shit I have ever read. Wicked is a brilliant retelling of Oz flipping the Witch to the good guy and the Wizard to the bad guy. That makes it a compelling oh shit story. Maleficent did the same thing.
Wicked made loads of money. People loved it.
Your broke ass snowflake insecurity is on display big time here.
People dont see bad movies. They see good movies. Hunger games had a bad ass woman in it and did a zillion dollars cuz it was a good movie. The woman ghost busters was a bad movie. The kid ghostbusters was a good movie and did well. The first Wonder Woman did excellent and was well received cuz it was good. The second was not good. People see good movies. Your insecurity makes you think there is something more afoot. Nope. Youre just insecure.

You realize this means that you, yourself, are in the same class if you live in such close proximity? The problem is that the blacks and trailer trash are a short ride away.
January 2026 may have been the best movie release schedule for January EVER.
January is normally a dumping ground for shitty movies. Not this year:
- Send Help - Sam Raimi’s excellent WTF movie
- 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - Great zombie revist
- We Bury The Dead - Great apocalyptic movie from the Aussies
- All You Need Is Kill - Good Animated Japanese mainstream movie
- Primate - Sure its ridiculous but a good time
- Greenland: Migration - Derivative but entertaining follow up but top tier for January release
- Anaconda - Good time silliness
Still had shitty movies though;
- Return to Silent Hill - Sooooooooooooo bad
- Mercy - Haven’t seen. Critics hate. Audience thinks its ok
For what is arguably the best movie release schedule in decades… January killed it… for January that is.
Lots of book adaptions and originals on the list thought. Something for everyone this year in my flawless unimpeachable opinion. LolToo many sequels and remakes on that list. There’s such a thing as too much nostalgia
Hollywood’s falling into a rut

Naked Gun and Anaconda were decent throwback comedies. But NO. I don’t like slapstick silliness generally. It’s about the only genre I have to drag myself to watch. You like those comedies. I was over those in the 80's. LOL
Never could tolerate zombie movies. If it comes down to "movie monsters", give me the originals.
Plus, my 'thing" is witches. There are not many good witch movies out there, but the few that are out there are better than not having any at all.
