Nobody in the current administration has talked up a plan to federalize the military for use in civilian law enforcement, as Trump has and is mentioned in Project 2025, Trump's plan of governance, written by his staffers.
I think the man is totally unrealistic. The military would not go along with being used for domestic law enforcement, as they have declined in the past, due to Officer and Enlisted commitment to the constitution, as well as the bad taste it left in their mouths, last time the Republicans made a door-to-door gun grab in Louisiana, under Bush, after Katrina. I have always known, the ones most likely to do an organized gun grab were the ones that had done it, in the past and in my memory, George SonovaBush, was the only one in my lifetime, I am aware of. There was backlash even at the time, with some Enlisted leaving the deployment against orders, risking courts marshall, traveling back to their homes, instead of taking part, overwatching the door to door gun grab, undertaken in not only low rent areas, but upper income gated communities. Some normal middle and upper American citizens of that state, never got their guns back, though none charge with a crime, after forced search and seizure by local authorities backed up by Federalized Guardsmen on Humvees with mounted crew served weapons.
