No actually, saying there are good people on both sides of an issue is an attempt to NOT divide us. Twisting those words by Democrats to say the GOOD PEOPLE were Neo Nazis who were present that day, was a calculated distortion. I haven't speculated one bit. The secret Service purposely waited for the perp to shoot. They shot him mere seconds afterwards. Thus, he was already in their sights, they were waiting.

The witness who was yelling at the cops and secret Service for three minutes would have triggered a red alert that would have seen Trump taken to the ground.

But no. None of the normal protocols were followed. The secret Service attending to Trump close up did a good job. Those who were tasked with the long range protection didn't do their jobs at all.

This wasn't failure, this was by design.

When I was in the military I could routinely make that shot with open sights. With a scope or red dot sight and a bit of practice, any duffer could could do it. Trump got really lucky.

“The gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump Saturday was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, sources told The Post.
Crooks, of Bethel Park, Pa., squeezed off shots — one of which grazed Trump in the ear — at an outdoor rally in Butler, just outside Pittsburgh.
Sources said Crooks was planted on a roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards away from the stage at Butler Farm Show grounds.”
