Some may call this misogyny I call it simply observing the obvious. There are some venues where men are just more appropriate than women. This is no comment on the abilities of women particularly.... However this video more or less speaks for itself.

I noticed that too. And on top of their indecisive confusion, there was one who surrounded the President that was so short that a shooter would have had a full head shot. They need to stop with this idiotic DEI bullshit.

Seems the detail should be limited to people who are at least as tall as those they are trying to shield.

If you think you can do better than the women on the Secret Service team, go for it! They're hiring.

You completely miss the point. I don't need to do better. They are the ones that need to do better.

No, I didn't. You are clearly trying to say that the female secret service members shown on the videos weren't "good enough". Did you think the same thing of the male secret service members that were shown, some of them surrounding Trump as well? What makes one good enough and the other not?

Discussion about this is a couple other threads.
It is irresponsible.
Trump is 6'3" tall, he is not a small target.
The inner-most circle of protection officers, a significant part of their job is to use their own bodies to cover the target.
A 5' 6" female doesn't cut it for that application.
Did you also notice that one of the females is overweight, and looked to be in her 50s. There are several close up photos of her - she looks absolutely terrified and edgy.
All of the others looked intense and alert.
What is this woman doing there??? SHE is one of the elite inner-circle?????

You can see in the video that they are plainly lost, Confused and directionless. This is more of a comment on the DEI policy than it is on women. Having said that equality is not available in everything nor should it be.

Why bother? If they are only going to do diversity hires then they won’t select capable men.

Maybe it is misogyny to think as I do--I don't know if those lady Secret Service personnel were actually doing their jobs or not--can't really tell from that video clip--but because they are going to generally be smaller and less 'intimidating' than the guys, I suspect the vast majority of people don't take them as seriously nor would they be as good in a situation that requires bulk and strength. If I have a security detail, I want it to be big, mean looking guys who are heavily armed and obviously trained to use the weapons.

I am all for women's rights, opportunity, equal treatment under the law and all that, but I am not one who thinks most women are going to be as good as guys at some jobs. Any more than most guys are not going to be as good as women at some jobs. That is simply a biological fact.

Did you see that video? That was not encouraging at all.
To your point:
This is the first solid evidence of government complicity in the crime. And it's the question that is going to outlive all the rest of shit that Trump can and will use to his advantage.

One of my previous threads already raised the main issue.

What can we add for a Trump talking point? How about: Was Biden aware of the inadequate security?

Agreed. I believe there are women that are as capable as men in pretty much any occupation, but as you wouldn't hire a 300 lb hulk to be, say, a tunnel rat in Vietnam--a petite 5'-0" , 98 pounder shouldn't be thought of as a suitable shield for someone 6'-3 and pushing 300 lbs. Male or female

And if you click on that link to the fitness standards, you will see that they have two separate training requirements for number of push-ups, chin-ups etc for men and women

That’s the problem

DEI Policy: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Program.

Women are 24% of the SS workforce, which includes those at desk jobs and technical jobs: Women at the Secret Service
A 5' 6" man does not belong in the inner circle to protect a 6' 3" 280 lb. man.
When the officers were using their bodies as shield, the one female left a very large gaping hole of protection of the Presidents head and upper body. She also clearly struggled, and almost lost her footing while assisting him down the stairs which could have cost the entire detail to fall on top of him on those same stairs.

However, I do think there are roles that female agents are not only appropriate but necessary such as those assigned to women and can go with them into women's locker rooms, public restrooms and such.
