Despite the fact they were held for over a year, they COULD be sentenced to 6 months in jail ... which means they will have beenin jail twice as long as their actual criminal sentence.

I love it. I watched the whole thing, from the moment Fox cut away from Ted Cruz' speech. It seemed to me just a big party, but I'll take "parading."

When Trump said there was proof that Biden cheated in the election, I paid attention. I read the articles. I read as Trump lawyers went in front of judges with no evidence. I read about the judges dismissing Trump’s claims of voter fraud.
When poor goofy Lindell said the machines were rigged, I again paid attention. Lindell offered no evidence to support his claim.
Slowly many prominent Republicans admitted there was no fraud.

Even Trump’s right-hand man said there was no fraud in December of 2020.
I was relieved that no voter fraud took place.
I continued to pay attention to various news services to get different perspectives.
I think anyone who would go to the trouble to attack the Capitol would want to be positive that they were fighting on the right side.
In my opinion, most of the guys who invaded the Capitol were just weekend warriors out for an adventure. Many of the guys filmed and posted their crimes on Facebook. The mob mentality was textbook.
The insurrectionist knew they outnumbered the cops. Republicans are supposed to be the party of law and order. Republicans are pro-police, yet these “drunk with power” insurrectionists beat the cops severely. Everyone knows it is illegal to restrain or injure a cop.
People go to jail for breaking into 7–11. Breaking into the US Capitol is a severe crime. Breaking into the Capitol deserves a long hard sentence.
