Are you honestly suggesting that if we don't spend trillions of dollars we don't have our nation will collapse? There isnt any waste in what we are currently spending? There isnt a single way we can make this government more efficient?

I've got no problem with the concept of unemployment. I've got a problem with it's scope. It pays out way too much for way too long. If the benefits were limited to somewhere around minimum wage for maybe 6-9 months instead of a year, then great. But when unemployment pays almost as much as you were making at your last job while employers simply don't have the overhead to hire as many workers for those previous wages, people start to look at unemployment as a career... and that's just sickening to me.

I see you equate problems with unemployment compensation with min. wagers...

It's fairly easy to avoid having a child if you don't want one. Don't have sex. But that is completely irrelevant to this current conversation. Nor does it actually support planned parenthood because abortion is not planning ahead. It's a "Holy crap! I'm immature and cant take responsibility for my actions" move that happens after the real decision has already been made.

However, Ill note your complete hypocrisy that you believe planning ahead is good in that case but we should just be completely irresponsible with money and future.

So.can you answer the question or not? What would be the problem with paying for extended benefits out of the dem slush.. err.. stimulus funds?

I see no problem with it.

Everyone else has had their hands in the cookie jar.....why not the unemployed who are at the bottom of the proverbial hill (you know, where the shit rolls to)??

I mean we've extended these funds to all those corporations that were "too big to fail", why not do the same for millions of families that are "too small and unimportant to end up homeless"?

I mean really. Why not? What's the hold up? Or is the point WHO is the hold up?
