Obama produced a movie about this plant, "American Factory'.

The Fuyao Glass America plant in Moraine is on fire Sunday night and crews are battling large flames coming from the factory.

The fire started around 8:30 p.m. at the windshield making plant on Stroop Road, a dispatcher said.

According to the locals the place has been a shit show for a while now.

Many injuries and at least 1 death, now massive fire.
An amendment to a federal appropriations bill working its way through Congress would pressure the Department of Justice to explain what it’s doing to address concerns about illegal labor practices by automotive glass producers tied to the Chinese Communist Party.

The legislative language describes — but does not name — Moraine-based Fuyao Glass America, which is owned by Chinese company Fuyao. The Moraine plant was raided by federal agents last year as part of an investigation into alleged illegal staffing and money laundering.

American Factory is a great documentary, if you have not seen it, watch it. The difference between East and West is so transparent, it shows why much of this manufacturing has moved to China. This time China runs the American factory. It's really interesting and well done.

First I've ever heard of Obama being involved in making it, and I doubt that is true, but if it is, Obama needs to make more documentaries.

If memory serves it was an old GM plant of some kind and Obama gave the chi-coms all kinds of tax breaks to get them to buy it.

He was not involved in the production of this documentary. It was an old GM plant.

I found it to be an exceptionally well produced and I highly recommend it. I watched it on Netflix three years ago.

I can't figure out what a windshield and auto glass making plant could have in it so flammable to create all this black smoke.

Perhaps it could be stockpiles of the plastic laminate they cement between the glass?

Gee, first that toxic train derailment in upper eastern Ohio a couple years ago and now this in lower western Ohio outside Dayton.

....produced by Higher Ground Productions, a company founded by former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

I doubt if the chi-coms rebuild it. No Obama era tax breaks to do so. They will likely take the insurance money and bolt.

The burned-out plant will look good with the rest of OH's blighted industrial landscape.

At least Barry got to make a film about what a great deal he made with the Chinese!

Maybe Trump will step in, find a loophole, and seize all the insurance money to make up for all the money lost via Obumma's sweetheart deal. Maybe find a way that the insurance money must be used to reinvest in rebuilding the plant, if not for the chicoms, then for a new owner to be named.

On second thought, maybe that was Trump's plan--- set the place on fire just to drive the Chinese out so that some American firm can buy it.

President Obama is man of many talents outside of being President.

The world misses him more than ever right now, as do all thinking Americans.

Well you lied about The Halfrican being involved with the show so I don't think another lie is beyond you. 😐

Pres. Obama's production company does not mean the former President had any involvement in the making of this documentary. You and I can only guess.

It is an apolitical endeavor, regardless, and a fascinating look at Chinese business practices and mindset being imported into redneck America, and the many challenges faced by foreign investors, as well as hard working Americans. Perhaps the biggest difference is that last part. Chinese employees would be considered modern day slaves by U.S. standards.

The part where the American team visits China is laugh out loud cringe at the cultural differences.
