Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) joked at a conservative Christian event on Friday that he prays President Barack Obama’s “days will be short.”

The first-term senator began his opening statement at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference by telling attendees to pray for Obama. With a smirk, Perdue said, “We should pray like Psalms 109:8 says. It says: ‘Let his days be few and let another have his office.’”

The large crowd laughed.

Perdue did not continue reciting the words, but Psalm 109 is a death wish for one of David’s enemies.

It goes on: “Let his children be fatherless; and his wife a widow. Let his children wander about and beg; and let them seek sustenance far from their ruined homes. Let the creditor seize all that he has; and let strangers plunder the product of his labor. Let there be none to extend loving kindness to him; nor any to be gracious to his fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off; in a following generation let their name be blotted out.”

The Christian Science Monitor noted that conservatives have used this verse in the past to talk about the end of Obama’s days in office.

Given that you Democrat liberals are not allowed to believe in any being higher than George Soros this whole "deep concern" about prayer rings rather hollow.

Well, sparky, I don't believe in a supernatural Sky Daddy - and even if I did I certainly wouldn't pray for him to do such violent shit to another human and his family. Would that be "Christian" in your mind?

There are god fearing democrats. I think a Republican blew the whistle on the prayer.

All this concern over prayer! Oh wait, I see, if it had been a prayer whining after some favour from St. George Soros then it would have been all good!

Keep calm....
Oh shit.....I know that's an unreasonable request...so just...
Carry on.

But never forget....

Old golfers never die.
They just lose their balls.

Which, of course, assumes they ever had any that weren't stitched on.
Definitely not in evidence.....

Passive aggressive types like those Faith and Freedom guys love a double en tendre'

That way they can just say they meant fewer days in office, and not fewer on the planet, which is what those prudish bible thumping goody goodies really want

, “We should pray like Psalms 109:8 says. It says: ‘Let his days be few and let another have his office.’”

If he had quoted the rest of the Psalm, you might have a point.

But, he didn't, and you don't.

Obama has been president for nearly 8 full years and America is still fighting two wars. A lot of people are dying because of his ineptitude or his treasonous action against our nation. I think I will add that prayer to my nightly list.

Michelle said she wakes up in a house built by slaves.
She should move out.....now.

Wouldn't want her to feel uncomfortable.

Nothing rings more hollow than your empty, doe-eyed posts because you never factually refute anything. You just fart pixelated methane on a thread and waddle to the next one.

Is she wrong? Just answer the question. Did slave labor build the White House or not?

Oh wait, I know you will be too lazy to answer so I did it for you.

"The D.C. commissioners, charged by Congress with building the new city under the direction of the president, initially planned to import workers from Europe to meet their labor needs. However, response to recruitment was dismal and soon they turned to African American—enslaved and free—to provide the bulk of labor that built the White House, the United States Capitol, and other early government buildings."

WHAT?

are you saying they only HELPED build the White House?

And if it was built by slave labor, should it be torn down, along with all those 100-150 year old mansions in both the North and the South built by slave labor?

In view of the fact that a second term ends in a precise time, praying for it earlier can only mean a death wish. Why anyone would pretend not to understand that is unclear. Even for those of us who did not vote for Obama and are not impressed with his Presidency can see when a 'Christian' is being a hypocrite.
