Their only purpose was to drastically gut federal spending. To hear Sly make absurd excuses for them is mind-numbing. Nothing else they do (which, so far, has been next to nothing) will be 1/1,000th as useful as if they had gutted spending as they were sent to Washington to do. Nobody votes Republican for more pork. Nobody.

In a disappointing turn of events, the administration’s budget also allows for $11.5 billion in bailouts to health insurance companies participating in the Obamacare health insurance exchanges. This outrageous idea is completely inconsistent with President Donald Trump’s previous comments about ending bailouts to insurance companies—and his budget’s call to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Trump was supposed to be the “outsider”. But this is more business as usual bullshit in Washington. Over $11 billion in unconstitutional spending on Obamacare in a single budget?

Trump was supposed to be the “outsider”. But this is more business as usual bullshit in Washington. Republicans had a golden opportunity to drive a different - and vastly more successful - course for the U.S. It would have set them up to dominate the political landscape for decades (as they’ve done since the Obama disaster). Instead, they have chosen the same failed left-wing policies which will swing everything back towards the Democrats as voters go to the polls exasperated with Washington.

No - they should spend money on their 18 constitutional enumerated powers that they were delegated responsibility for by the states. And they should do it strictly within their budget.
