Google Again Seeking Visas for Foreign Workers, After Replacing 12,000 Americans Just Weeks Ago

Companies routinely underpay foreigners who are looked upon as source of cheap labor. 50 years ago, 20 years ago, now. They dump Americans who have been loyally working for them for 20+ years. 50 years go, 20 years go, now.

You need to keep up with the times. 20 years ago there was nowhere near the need for software engineers as there is today. The schools and universities cannot turn them out fast enough to keep up with the demand.

Even the thousands of workers tech workers who are displaced by the post-covid layoffs at Google and and Facebook, were quickly snapped up by other tech companies desperate for staff.

As someone who operates an online retail business, my sales dropped off substantially last Christmas over 2021 because people were desperate to go out and shop in person.
