Just stop already. Most of you don't believe in him anyway and anyone with HALF A BRAIN would know mixing religion with politics NEVER ends well.

It is just that the Pharisees were not followers of Jesus.

Luke 16:13-15

13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the

other. You cannot serve both God and mammon (money).”

14 The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus.

15 He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of man, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valuable in the eyes of man is detestable in God’s sight.

Of course you're not followers of Jesus. You're followers of "whatever it takes" or "whatever feels good"

You have no limits to the lengths you will go to try to prove your point regardless of where it takes you.

You don't have to believe in Jesus to know when he is right, or when the people who say they call him Lord are doing anything but as he commanded.

You should be happy that the non-believers know his words but you aren't because what they are pointing out is that you know his words as well, and you're rejecting them by your attitudes and your actions...

Liberals believe in God, the father. Conservatives believe in God the avenger.

The faith of Jesus took him to the cross, and you're worried about some kids in a population of 310 million? Maybe you should take up your cross, and bear it...

It's always best to ignore the God haters I've found. I frequent the religion forum here now and have found some very heated debate there. I'd love to invite any of you there- God haters , one on one.. :-) Let's see what ya got.

Says one who hates god AND hates people.

Nutty said so , so it must be true.. I love God but because Nutty said I don't, it must be true.

Another broad brush, good day Sir.

Paint My House said it really well but ...

1. Why is this in politics?
2. There are very few Christians on this board.
3. Atheists have been putting up with the preaching and bible thumping for 2000 years and now you get to hear our side of things.
4. If you believed in the First Amendment, you would be celebrating that fact.
5. What do you care since you're not a Christian anyway?

There's no need to hate what doesn't exist but the question is, when Jesus commanded that you be generous towards the stranger, to those seeking shelter, children in this case, how will you justify your attitude towards them? Will he understand when you say you believed they were trying to take over the country so you rejected them? Would he not say, And were they not also children of God? How do you know that I did not send them myself?

I would not want to have to answer those questions...

And I will look for you in religion since Agnosticism is the only rational answer.

Agnosticism > atheism > religion

But yes it is funny that people who badmouth Christianity and religion in general think they have some kind of special insight into the teachings of those religions. But libs are big hypocrites.

Practicing a religion doesnt give you a special uber secret decoder ring which allows you to better understand it.

The best way to shun it is to actually read and understand it.
