George Floyd. The Truth Is Out. (Finally)

At least more of the truth. For however long, the news has been making it look like the cops murdered a cooperative black guy they arrested, apparently because they had nothing better to do at the time. Causing many riots and protests. Well last night they finally showed a little more of the story.

They showed a cop on the passenger side back door trying to subdue the soon to be dead Floyd. No doubt Floyd was kicking at him. It showed the hero cop who would end up with his knee on the back of Floyd's neck to subdue him going to open the drivers side back door. What was shown at least showed Floyd putting up a fight.

Now, I would like to see the rest of the video. Which would show Floyd being dragged out of the drivers side back seat and how he ended up at the front of the cop car with the officers knee on the back of his neck. No doubt Floyd was putting up more struggle from the back seat area to the front of the cop car.

Why is the news wrongfully portraying the incident. They also made a big deal about the cop keeping his knee on Floyd's neck even after he stopped moving. But Floyd's condition wasn't caused by the knee on his neck. So why should the cop have moved it. Especially when just before then he was putting up a fight. All this coddling of criminals makes me sick. Least of all the negro ones. The cops don't have an easy job. They are almost like soldiers on the front line. A little excess on their part should be excused. They need to be supported. Not vilified.
Would like to see this video as opposed to a description. Thanks.

the local media ran it a couple of times here, then the edited ones took over. We'll see if the whole videos make it to trial or the edited ones.
and, even with the edited vids, it's obvious the officer's knee is not resting entirely on the guy's neck, most of the weight is obviously on the left shoulder blade. It's giant farce from start to finish, and the GOP is making a big mistake by jumping on the cop killer bandwagon.
Problem I have is it shows Floyd being placed into the police car, but not how he ended up on the ground, with the police officer's knee on his neck. Most likely he tried to escape and there was an altercation. It still doesn't excuse what the officer did as he had him completely under his control. However, if there was an escape attempt followed by a physical altercation on tape, then it's going to be harder to convict on anything other the original manslaughter charge. Which will lead to more rioting, burning and looting, and I bet will be timed to happen right before next November 3.

Well there is video that shows Floyd putting up a struggle in the back of the cop car. And I too would like to see the video of how he went from the back seat of the cop car to where he ended up at. Not that it matters much. Because he was struggling. That is the end of the story. There is of course video out there that shows officer Chauvin's knee on the back of Floyd's neck. But you can see from the video that officer Chauvin wasn't putting that much pressure on Floyd's neck. There was even one point where Floyd managed to lift his head, neck and officer Chauvin's knee a little. And this was probably due to him still struggling. Also, at least once officer Chauvin told Floyd to just calm down. Floyd didn't listen.

I don't know how many minutes of video the body cams hold, and they don't have rear cams in the squad cars, apparently. In any case, it's clear that the officer is not putting his full weight on Floyd's neck, his knee is more on his shoulder blade, and as Quarantine pointed out his foot is on the ground bearing weight as well. the ass hole just stroked himself out, is all.
It's going to be hard to prove that the officer didn't contribute or cause asphyxiation or a stroke. He should have also taken into consideration how fucked and or high Floyd was.

What was officer Chauvin to do. Give Floyd a drug breathalizer test as he was kicking and screaming? Like it or not, Floyd died from his own actions. Not officer Chauvin's.

The one thing you either are unaware of or ignoring is the Use of Force Continuum which (to the best of my knowledge) is pounded into law enforcement officers in this nation over and over again. Basically it means if the subject escalates you escalate, if the subject de-escalated, you de-escalate. Let that sink in........
Floyd was on the ground and cuffed with multiple officers around him and was not resisting at that point, de-escalation, the officer should at that point have stood up and if Floyd had re-escalated then the officers could have easily re-subdued him. The officer kneeling on Floyd's neck the whole time should have known this and stood up when Floyd began complaining that he couldn't breathe, the officer made a bad decision that cost a man his life. At best the officer was negligent based on the Use of Force Continuum.
If you can't breath you can't repeatedly say "I can't breath".

And when you are a cop not causing that difficulty in breathing, you repeatedly say to yourself, "Who gives a fuck." Especially when it is a struggling criminal saying it.

Sure thing there "doc"........... Most people use the phrase "I can't breathe" (not breath) when they are having difficulty breathing, it's kind of a generic phrase. It also comes out hoarse and raspy. Not surprised low education critters wouldn't know that......... Uummmmm........

If Floyd was having difficulty in breathing, it wasn't because of what officer Chauvin was doing. Where his knee was, officer Chauvin would have had to have broken Floyd's neck to get deep enough to crush his windpipe.

I agree, whether or not the actual death was actually triggered by a preexisting condition, the officer/s contributed to it, or, directly caused it.

The officer's and the suspect's actions leading up to and during the event will be taken into consideration as will the suspect's condition at the time. Triggering an unknown (unknown to LE) preexisting condition is not necessarily an automatic cause for guilt, matter of fact it's more often a cause for acquittal. I have no idea why the officer didn't de-escalate neither does anyone else here but it "appears" he did not properly follow the Use of Force Continuum which technically makes him legally liable IF it can be shown the wasn't a good reason to continue physically subduing the suspect.
If the suspect dies from an unknown condition and the situation was such the the officer should have been paying attention to the suspects complaints, taking them seriously then the officer is potentially liable. If however the situation was such that there was reasonable doubt in the officer's mind that the suspect wasn't trying a trick to attempt to get away then that will also be examined by the court. Too many variables that will be brought up in court to determine guilt or innocence. That's why we have a court system.

The officers will never get a fair trial, and the other officers were indicted in the hope of extorting perjured testimony from them against Chavuin. This a lynching to appease a mob of scum, period.

Yes, proving a negative is hard. But, it's not Chauvin's job to prove a negative, it's the prosecutor's job to prove he was deliberately murdering Floyd, and there is no evidence to support that charge at all. Knowing Floyd's health problems after the fact doesn't call for a murder charge. That would be like someone passing out and falling in front your car in the street and then charging you with murder.

Maybe all true but it doesn't change the fact that they had apprehended Floyd, had him handcuffed and there were four cops there. They should have been able to put him in the back of the squad car and had no business having him on the ground face down, knee on neck for 9 minutes. Especially with many people alarmed he wasn't breathing or moving.

I don't care if you have to stun, taser or beat him with a billy jack, you get the bastard in the squad car. With four cops there, either Floyd was one badass sick dude considering all his "medical" conditions or those were some shit-poor cops.

I have witnessed MANY MANY violent resisters brought under control. None were entirely gentle

. With four cops there, either Floyd was one badass sick dude considering all his "medical" conditions or those were some shit-poor cops.

He towered over everybody, and his tantrum went on for many minutes before he was on the ground; his heart finally gave out, is all. You think cops should have magical infrared vision and be able to see into his chest or something? All they are obilifed to do is look out for themselves and their own safety first, not play guessing games over ' What's Wrong With Lil Johnny?" all day. they sat on him until the paddy wagon came. His previous actions and behavior made sitting on him a good idea. I've been pulled over by cops several times. Nobody had to sit on me, or even have to put in me in the back seat of a squad car. That only happens to unhinged morons and stupid criminals who got caught.

At this point it looks like a battle of the experts and doctors in the courtroom, but my sense is that for at least the officer with his knee on Floyd, the murder conviction is almost certain.

All this coddling of criminals makes me sick. Least of all the negro ones. The cops don't have an easy job. They are almost like soldiers on the front line. A little excess on their part should be excused. They need to be supported. Not vilified.

the local media ran it a couple of times here, then the edited ones took over.

At this point it looks like a battle of the experts and doctors in the courtroom, but my sense is that for at least the officer with his knee on Floyd, the murder conviction is almost certain.

I believe the officer's actions brought about George Floyd's death. Now whether or not Floyd had a pre-existing condition that contributed to it, or his resistance may have instigated the officers brutal reponse in order to bring Floyd under control, at some point as we can see Floyd was completely under his control. The claim that George Floyd was going to just drop dead regardless of what the officer did, will not fly in court. Now, did Floyd do something that caused the officer to react in such a manner? That has not been proven yet, but if so, will only reduce the murder charge for the officer.

at no point did I suggest that george would have "just dropped dead were it not for the ROUGH ARREST" The point I make is the charge of murder I believe that in order to make the murder charge, the prosecutors will have to prove that the "KNEE ON NECK" caused the death. That means either death
by asphyxiation or death by strangulation. Such a death does SHOW UP ON AUTOPSY. So far findings supporting asphyxiation or strangulation have NOT
been presented. Somehow---PARTS OF THE HEART
ARE MISSING (????) for the second autopsy. Myocardial infaction does show up on microscopic studies of the heart muscle.

From my understanding the cause of death by asphyxiation has already been established.

Disagree. The "paddy wagon" was already there. They had handcuffs on him. There is no reason that four cops cannot get one handcuffed dude into the backseat of the squad car. There was no reason they needed to "sit" on him for nine minutes.

If it takes four cops just to arrest one guy who is already in handcuffs and they can't even get him into the backseat of the police car, we are all in trouble--- --- what are they going to do if there is a riot, looting or violent protests of hundreds or thousands! Oops!

I don't think so. There was a kind of impression
written by the second pathologist which ---in my
lauded and unassailable opinion ---was based on the history but NO PATHOLOGY ---that means tissues
that reveal the kinds of damage that happens in
asphyxiation

Sounds like someone was already 'losing' (destroying) evidence so it wouldn't get to court.
