Rational and proud of it.
So what do you think:
#1. Should the government recognize same-sex marriages?
#2. Should the government only recognize civil unions which everyone can get and marriage becomes something done only in religious ceremonies and only recognized by religious institutions?
#3. The government should make civil unions equal in benefits and taxation to marriage, and homosexuals can get civil unions and marriage remains between a man and a woman?
#4. Should nothing change, only men and women can get married and homosexuals have to do as best they can through legal documents and actions?
#5. The government should have nothing to do with people commiting to eachother in anyway whatsoever, and all benefits and taxation that went along with marriage should become null and void. The government perceives its citizens only as individuals.
I bet most people will choose the second option.
