Forget About Climate Change. Democrats Need to Talk About Other Issues

Well, duh, who is doing more damage than that idiot? Climate change is a long term threat, Trump is immediate.

Not that you understand, of course.
Can you show us where the bad Orange man touched you?

I'm confused. I thought we only had 12 years left.

The big problem is that time marches on. And after a while, more and more people start to realize that the claims what would happen if "things do not change" never happen.

Back in the 1990s when the "Global Warming" hype first started, it was easy to get people on board because it was getting warmer. After all, the US had just gone through a mini-mini-ice age that for much of the 70s was causing record snowfalls. And the entire planet was still recovering them the actual "Mini-Ice Age".

And they kept doing the norm, and making predictions in 10-20 year jumps in time. "If you do not do this, by 2010 things will be a nightmare". Or "If things continue as they are, by 2016 the Arctic will be ice free".

And, well the problem is that we are now significantly past the things the doomers predicted. And none of them have happened. In short, it has become the "Chicken Little Syndrome". If you predict horrible and terrible things to happen over and over and none of them ever happen, then obviously the credibility has to be questioned.

And we are indeed now at the point where we have seen a decade worth of such predictions all completely fail.

Last year we had 12 years left. And six years ago we had 12 years left. And in 12 years we will only have 12 years left.

And it is even more funny for people like me, because I remember most of the same doomers five decades ago screaming the exact opposite. That humans were causing a "new ice age". Hell, if you want a real laugh look up the "predictions" from the first Earth Day in 1970.

We hear from folks almost every year about when an event will occur that will destroy mankind. Asteroids are done the most.

Most people don’t remember ‘The Pump’. It was the primed hair spray dispenser designed to replace aerosol cans because aerosol cans were destroying ozone and would cause the earth to freeze over.
That was before fossil fuels would cause the earth to melt.

Is that the same science that says Stephen can become a woman if he puts on a dress and calls himself Stephanie?

Is that the same science that says viruses only travel one way down the grocery aisle and can't get you if you stand on painted squares six feet apart from each other?

Asking for a friend...

Is your friend as stupid as you are? The science that provide absolute evidence that GHG's heat the atmosphere was demonstrated in 1858 by John Tyndall in England. Nobody has falsified that since then. Flapyapping trying to change the subject is evidence of a very weak mind.

Most Americans are aware of NATURAL Climate Change, such as the one that ended the Ice Age about 12,000 years ago.
A small minority of radical Leftist idiots, who don't understand natural sciences and have an anti-West/anti-Industrialization agenda promote the scam and false claim of Human caused/Anthropogenic Climate Change/Global Warming.

The slight increase in average global temperatures is mild, being in low hundreds still, compared to the thousands in past millennia.
One boon has been the healthier Flora(Plants) in significant increase in crop yields due to more CO2 for the plants to use.

Man, you are ******* dumb. We have increased the CO2 in the atmosphere from 280 ppm to 424 ppm. We have increased the CH4 from about 650 ppb to over 1900 ppb. In the past, at the present levels, there were no polar ice caps. By natural climate change, the Milankovitch Cycles, we should be descending, slowly, into the next ice age.

I don't know where you got your chart, but here is a source from real scientists;

So if we exposed you to the UV that hits the Moon, you would be fine with that, right...

The Ozone issue was real. Global Warming is a fraud. If you cannot distinguish between the two, STFU....

Global Warming is a theory that CO2 in the atmosphere is the dominant factor in Earth climate change.

That theory never had any truth to it at all, and those behind it knew that, they just knew they had a "team" to push it that included way too many traitors in high places.

Earth climate does change. Jurassic was warmer, wetter, and had much higher surface air pressure, what happens when Earth has little to no land near the poles and hence little to no ice. There is more atmospheric gas trapped in Antarctic ice than there is in the atmosphere now. Melt that ice and Earth becomes a "mini gas giant."

WTF is all that? You sound like an ignorant Trump supporter.

Don't blame it on your friend, you're asking for yourself.
Ole!!!! Total dodge from answering the question. Perhaps people don't believe in climate change as the left puts out there is because there's a whole bunch of predictions that were supposed to have happened already that's not close to happening based on climate change. Or maybe, it's because people see the people who cries for climate change live in big houses that uses a lot of energy, don't have solar panels, and fly to places on private jets. Why does the UN need to go around the world to hold conferences on climate change? Can't they just use Zoom or Microsoft Teams?

Hell, hand sprayers were almost unheard of in that era.

Those pump bottles were only invented in the 1960s, and were mostly a curiosity because they were not needed. We had aerosol cans that did it automatically. Back in that era, pretty much everything came in a can. It was the CFC ban in 1979 that suddenly forced the industry to change to other things. That is when "spray on deodorant" largely vanished, and then roll-on and sticks rose to dominance. The same with hair spray, most non-caustic cleaning products also. Early on only the caustic cleaning products and poisons were what you would find after 1979.

It was not the aerosol cans themselves, but the chlorofluorocarbons that were used as the propellent. The industry was only given a year to replace it with something else, and most companies elected to simply make the switch to pump bottles. Most of those that remained were given an extension so they could research and implement a replacement for the CFC. Such as oven cleaners, insecticides, and products that simply would not work in a spray bottle (especially those so caustic they broke down plastic or degraded when exposed to air).

For example, try to imagine canned whip cream in a spray bottle. Other food items also got extensions as obviously spray bottles would not work for most of them because of contamination.

They eventually did find propellent that could replace CFCs, but by that time most companies had spent so much on the hand sprayers they just kept using them.

The late 70s was an interesting period. We could also go into the store and see 64 ounce glass soda bottles next to 2 liter plastic soda bottles.

But yes, along with the "New Ice Age", the "Ozone Hole" was a huge doomer thing in that era.

Total dodge from answering the question.

Whenever somebody spins to some form of Derangement Syndrome like BDS or TDS and is unable to address the topic itself, I know they are a mindless drone and have nothing of importance to add to a topic. In short an attempt to deflect away from inconvenient truths and attack the other poster.

And just like the Climate Fearmongers, I have been hearing people like that blather on now for decades. That is the thing when you are an actual adult, you remember that they have been doing things like that for decades now.
