The Republican Ponzi Scheme discussions also questioned whether or not the federal government could compel the purchase of goods and services. The specific concept was health care.

No comparisons with federal compulsory, participation in a risk pool were made.

The concept is that the federal government actually compels male people at age 18 to register for Selective Service. Selective Service compels adult male participation in a risk pool of potential draftees for military combat. The price is life or disabilites. . .or becoming a fragging incident victim. . .or a pusihng and shoving victim. If the adult male is alive, there is no choice in the matter: And especially if they are Conscientious Objectors to the whole notion of any form of war participation! The federal government requires participation in the military service pool. Nappy Headed Ho's, without exception(?), are exempted. That is called, "Equal Rights!"

Mostly, U. S. wars of defense have not happened since 1945. Japan attacked the United States. War with Germany and Italy happened first. Japan became a great afterthought, to the Eastern Seaboard nation. People wonder how Iraq could become the center of attention, when actually bin laden was probably in Pakistan.

The hunt for the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. . .and their camel, flatulence-guided, capabilities. . . .would actually happen later on, and after that. Pakistan would actually become a focus of attention, even way later on, and after that.

A risk pool is a risk pool, and the federal government can clearly compel the participation. It even generally does.

How like purchasing bananas that is(?). . .which the government. . .cannot compel. . .unless there is a bananas-buyer risk pool. . .helping to guide the Iraqi camels. . .to our shores. . .via the heavens(?)!)

This has got to be the dumbest argument ever posted.

The military service isn't a product. It isn't covered by the commerce clause, which is the basis the government is using to claim the Healthcare bill passes constitutional muster.

Yeah, but that's just putting your body in harm's way. It's not actually having to open your wallet and buy something.

Section 8 provides the Commerce Clause, and the Raise armies and navy clauses, (and No Air Force clause(?)), and a broad and generic enforcement clause at the end.

Firstly, millions are now aware that The Tea Party GOP does not believe that Congress even has the authority to borrow money on the credit of the United States. S&P finally downgraded the Entire United States based on the fantasies of 64 people. 64 fantasies was all that was needed!

Section 8 in the Constitiution lists powers. Some germane are listed below.

"To borrow money on the credit of the United States;"

"To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;"

"To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;"

"To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

"To provide and maintain a Navy;"

"To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;"

"To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."

So in making law necessary and proper for carrying into Execution, the raising of military conscripts: Then a draft pool is deemed Constitutional, in the context of the enumerating section.

There is nothing in the enumerating section that says that a risk pool kind of concept can only be applied in one of the powers. The conscripts can be used for the army, navy. . .and Star Wars or wherever it is that the Air Force appears.

Since a risk pool is clearly a concept in play in enforcement of the section, and since the concept applies in more than one of the enumerated listings, then it is reasonable to suppose that any intenders would further allow the compulsory participation in a risk pool intended to promote the health and medical care, even of potential military conscripts.

Eisenhower created the National Defense highway system, having seen how the Nazi's had made one work. Likely Eisenhower could come back, and propose maybe. . . (even the death camps. . .It was your grandfather's Republican Party) and more likley a national health care plan, and a national physical fitness plan to boot! The Nazi's had their Hitler Youth. The English had their Dunkirk rescue requirement.

The Ponzi Discussions forum was flawed all over, but mostly flawed in trying to make the participation in a risk pool the same thing as buying a banana. The national health plan is not a product. The participation in the risk pool is not at all like buying a banana, but goes more directly the national defense, national health, national safety. . . and of course to the medical specialist vacations in the South of France!

It is noted that we have scarcity of vacationers in our land. Even the English get 28 paid days off, and take them.
