FBI opens investigation into Letitia James

Equally obvious that the bank did its due diligence because they are not fools who would simply take an applicant at his word, and were satisfied. Also got paid back completely and on time, so a victimless crime.
Did James pay her loans?

Kash Patel's FBI has opened a formal investigation into James mortgage issues. Based on a referral, it now has morphed into an active investigation. She listed her father as her husband on documents now under question.

The investigation, first reported by the Albany Times Union, follows a request that the Justice Department investigate James, sent by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte to the Justice Department last month.

New York’s Northern District, where Pulte’s referral was steered, is led by US Attorney John Sarcone III, an ally of President Trump.

Pulte’s letter alleged James “falsified records” to obtain favorable loans on a home she purchased in 2023 in Virginia and a Brooklyn brownstone she’s owned since 2001.

“Ms. James, for both properties listed above, appears to have falsified records in order to meet certain lending requirements and receive favorable loan terms,” Pulte told Attorney General Pam Bondi.

That could amount to criminal charges, including wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud and false statements to a financial institution, among others, Pulte added.

The FBI and US Attorney’s Office in Albany didn’t immediately return requests for comment Thursday.

James’ office declined to comment.

That's just ONE fraud that Letitia McEvil perpetrated to enrich herself with millions. It's so appropriate she is going to be brought down by EXACTLY what she tried and failed on Donald Trump. :113:

Since when have democrats cared about statute of limitations? Just make some more new crimes and go after her that way, like they did with Trump! Right? If democrats can go after Trump with expired misdemeanors, then Trump can return the favor with expired felonies.
They weren’t misdemeanors and the statute of limitations wasn’t expired.

Yes!! Goose...meet gander!

There’s no legal accountability when the statute of limitations is expired.

Agree. Her defense is pretty weak, but we’ve barely heard anything to really decide for sure.
Well let due process take over.
It doesn't look good with what has been shown. Statute of Limitations was a concern for me.
Probably won't matter, though, her entire career will go down in flames as being a hypocrite.
How many of her cases could be affected?

If she did, also a victimless crime. It will be interesting, however, to watch her try to defend what she so excoriated before and for which she sought such penalties, very interesting indeed.

Wait until the DOJ gets a chance to look into her finances during the discovery period.

I'll bet there's a LOT of interesting stuff in there.

Did Trump? Since when does that matter? AGAIN WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARD?
Trump was innocent because there was no victim and paid back his loans.

But now it doesn’t matter?

It’s your double standards that we are discussing. I don’t have any.
