Gentle correction as you and I are most often on the same page. I know a number of former FBI agents--none stationed in DC--who assure me most are dedicated people who do their jobs. I have a great nephew who is completing FBI training but also won't be stationed in DC.

I can believe, given the high level corruption that we know exists in the FBI, that a lot, if not most, DC agents are dedicated 'woke' leftwingers and the apolitical or conservative agents are probably forced out or they use any excuse to get rid of them. But the large number of whistle blowers who have come forward in recent weeks suggests everybody shouldn't be fired.

And yes, I hope the whistle blower act will save the agent discussed here. Nobody should be able to fire an employee with impunity if that employee is refusing to follow an order to do an illegal or immoral act. The 'fired for not doing his/her job' shouldn't hold up in those cases.
