Favorite James Bond Actor

If I'm ranking them:
1. Sean Connery
2. Timothy Dalton
3. Roger Moore
4. Pierce Brosnan
5. Daniel Craig
6. George Lazenby

Anyone interested in how George Lazenby became a Bond actor should watch this on Hulu (if you get it):
Very well done.

Lazenby was very underrated for his portrayal as James Bond. I'd rate him #2 behind Connery.

Connery was the best Bond. It depends on what day you ask me about 2-3.

I think Daniel Craig was a fantastic Bond; Many of the movies were not very good though. Spectre, Quantum of Solace, No Time to Die... terrible. Casino Royale and Skyfall...fantastic.

I think Pierce Brosnan was a very good Bond and the movies were decent. I think he had a problem (if you want to call it that) with the Soviet Union collapsing during his run. The movies were not as “important”. He was just cheesy enough as Bond.

#4 would be Roger Moore by default. Then the other two...who cares...

In order of preference.

Sean connery.

Roger moore.

Pierce brosnan.

George lazenby.

Daniel Craig.

Timothy Dalton.

I still think Sean Connery best exemplified James Bond.

Daniel Craig - definitely Daniel Craig. I read the James Bond novels before I saw any of the movies, and I thought Sean Connery was all wrong physically. But he is my second favourite Bond.

Ian Fleming's description of Bond was slim build; a three-inch long, thin vertical scar on his right cheek; blue-grey eyes; a "cruel" mouth; short, black hair. Sean Connery was a weight lifter and body builder who competed in the Mr. Universe competion. Connery wasn't "slim", and he was too good looking.

I couldn't even watch the Roger Moore 007 movies. He was the Saint. I loved him as the Saint. He was not James Bond.

Part of the problem with reading books before the movies are made is you get a fixed idea of the character and what they look like. And when the cast the movie the lead is never the person you envisioned when you read the books.

Sean Connery was James Bond. All the others were imposters.
Correction,Sean Connery was James Bond and Roger Moore was a close second and all the others were imposters.

As someone else said earlier,Moore was very good in the role he just got stuck with bad scripts. He would have been great with the early scripts connery had..Moore is actually my fave between the two, loved his sarcasm.

I thought Dalton was very underrated, much better than Brosnan who I rank only ahead of Lazenby, very wooden as Bond was Brosnan.I’m glad you at least agree though with me and the other previous poster as well who also posted that Moore is a very close second behind connery.that’s the important thing. So I’ll forgive you for putting Brosnan so high because of that.
