At 73, Israel’s prophetic message for the world
The meaning of the State of Israel: A vision of hope for all humanity.

This week’s Jerusalem Lights podcast, recorded on the eve of Israel Independence Day, celebrates Israel’s 73 birthday.

Jim Long and Rabbi Chaim Richman share their perspectives and give their personal thanks to G-d for the State of Israel, recount the miracles of its rebirth, contemplate its significance in prophetic fulfillment, and reflect on its unique mission in the saga of human history.

Our hosts reflect on Israel’s role in the life of both the Jewish people and the nations, and connect the often misunderstood concepts of spiritual sensitivity found in this week’s twin Torah readings of the portions of Tazria and Metzora with our contemporary reality.

And to think, the movement started in Germany.

A most architecturally beautiful Reform Synagogue in my city was destroyed in Kristallnacht.

There is now a memorial on the site.

Germany is full of “memories”.

Tisha b'Av: Time to Get to Work!

A hot cup of coffee, a glance at the internet, a leisurely morning - what could we possibly be missing? Why the Holy Temple, of course! Time for all of us, not just the kohanim (Temple priests) to get up and get to work - rebuilding the Holy Temple in our day!

Be part of the action!

And yet, was there, or is there anything,
correct about what they've been aspiring for all these decades?

From what I remember Rabbi Sherki teach,
in Israel the so called 'seculars' are 'orthodox seculars'.
Because even their 'securalism' is in the context of orthodoxy.

From a different perspective, one can say the formal orthodoxy is a 17-18th century reform,
or in other words adaptation - in response to mostly western secular reforms.

The question was in hope for exchange,
to hear from Your perspective.

The Reform movement was a suck up movement and an insult to Christianity.
If one actually believes the Torah and it’s study is to lear to conform to societies moors then one is not looking at society.
