The DNC website use to have a line that stated "Supporting Civil Right for 200 years". There are also fairy tales of switching sides and mythical stratagies.

Both will continue Obama's policy of setting groups against each other, rich v. the middle class, white v. blacks, men v. women, gays v. straights. In other words, both candidates are counting on hate to sweep them into office, as what happened with Obama.

When you erase history, you are destroying all memory of our ancestors, and with it the knowledge of why we are here, what caused it to happen, and what will the future bring. The leftist wants us to live only in the present, with the state having all power over our bodies, our words, and our minds. And that is where we are going. The entire Democrat party is taking us there.

I don't think there is any attempt to 'erase' history. Simply not to lionize and laud traitors fighting to preserve slavery that killed tens of thousands of our soldiers.

I would similarly object to monuments to Cornwall, Wilhelm, or Rommel on our soil.

The problem with removing flags, monuments, statues because some are upset or offended by them or claim to be is where does it end? There is a push here to change the name of a middle school John B Hood because someone suddenly discovered he was a confederate general. The Fort Hood military base was also named after him do we have to change that as well? When you start sanitizing history you cease to learn from it when you don't learn from the odds increase of it being repeated.

Actually Indians were the first ones enslaved by Europeans here. By Columbus.

He sent them out to look for gold and when they came back without it (because there was no gold there), he cut off their hands. Then he took some back to Europe as "specimens".

That didn't work out well, one reason being their susceptibility to disease. That's when Europeans started shipping Africans over.

History isn't contained in stone, it is in books and papers in a million libraries, museums, and repositories. Now, if some group starts going to all libraries and museums and destroying all of some type of history then you would have an argument. But that will never happen.
