t’s certainly an aspect that helps the constant turmoil, but it’s not like that region needs our help facilitating it as they do fine job of that on their own. President Washington warned us against entangling alliances and this feels like the very soul of one.

I think the founders were right about avoiding state religions and entangling alliances. We seem to have done a good job regarding the former, but the latter has been one glaring mistake after another for the last century, imho
