Understood. We have plenty of skilled workers here in america. Hardest most productive workers on the face of God's earth.I agree. I was being sarcastic.
Let's face it, mass deporting everyone isn't a realistic objective.
Deport
1. the criminal illegals already in prison/jail/indicted
2. the 20k Chinese military aged men
3. the gangbangers
4. those convicted of serious crimes in their country of origin.
5. those let out of a mental institution in their country of origin
The ones behaving, doing their jobs, not threatening Americans.... they are NOT a priority.
/—-/ He did it during his first term. He’ll do it again.Nope. I just know his interests lie in NOT doing that, just pretending to. I am very much for border enforcement, changing the law related to refugee status, and pursuing those who have overstayed visas / court cases etc.
However it’s ALL A JOKE if E Verify and felony penalties are not enforced against employers. NEITHER PARTY wants to cut off the low wage cocaine high.
Flooding the US with low wage foreign tech workers is not putting Americans first.
So what? H-1B Visa holders are working in country legally, as far as I'm aware the issue is with illegal immigrants not the legal ones.H-1B visas mean cheap foreign labor to the tech industry. It will be interesting to see what Trump does with this dispute.
So what? Pay american citizens more to do the same exact work. As it should be.
Do you actually believe we don't have enough skilled workers already here?Stop the hyperbole of "flooding"
We need the best and brightest minds here, legally.
They could so very easily be trained to. Let the company foot the bill for that training. Most of them can't do the exact same work.
Do you actually believe we don't have enough skilled workers already here?
Then the company should move overseas. We can cheer. This level skill, yes.
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy Face Backlash from MAGA Movement for Not Only Backing But Offering More Visas to Foreign-Born Skilled Workers
We don't, that's why the technology industry perennially has a deficit of workers even with the H-1B program and technology companies sponsoring training programs for Americans wanting to get into tech careers.Do you actually believe we don't have enough skilled workers already here?
H-1B visas mean cheap foreign labor to the tech industry. It will be interesting to see what Trump does with this dispute.
MAGA/——/ There definitely a shortage of qualified tech workers in the US. Secondly, foreign workers will accept lower wages than US workers. It’s a tough situation.
Loomer is insaneLaura Loomer and far right activists clashed on X with Sriram Krishnan -Trump's new pick for AI and Vivek over increasing H1B visas and plans by DOGE to increase the numbers. Apparently the tech side want to substantially increase the number of H1B visas, whereas other MAGA activists view this as foreigners reducing salaries and taking US jobs. Thoughts?
He did no such thing./—-/ He did it during his first term. He’ll do it again.
Well why don't yhe company's just relocate overseas? Let em go.We don't, that's why the technology industry perennially has a deficit of workers even with the H-1B program and technology companies sponsoring training programs for Americans wanting to get into tech careers.
The primary driver of this situation is the fact that our education system sucks.
As the demography of America has shifted the size of our pool of highly intelligent, highly innovative has shrunk…I’m good with merit based / needs based immigration so long as birthright citizenship isn’t in play and voting rights will never be had. If we can’t/don’t implement those guidelines with imported labor then we should just suffer and do the best we can with our own people.H-1B visas mean cheap foreign labor to the tech industry. It will be interesting to see what Trump does with this dispute.
