Egg Shortages and Prices Sky Rocket Just Before Thanksgiving

Back in the day those were 1100 a month, now they're 1600 or more.
I have no idea how much the rent was. I didn't pay it. I think the guest house near Pico Robertson was $1,300. I got to be good friends with the owner. Paying expenses was part of the deal when I unretired and came back to LA from Nevada.

Mine is half white bread and half cornbread mixed, the egg or two in the dressing is after you put it all together with the sauteed , onion, celery, walnuts and green pepper, and seasoning and turkey broth, you beat a couple of eggs and loosely mix it in with the dressing after it is all put together, it will help the dressing hold together better and not just loosely crumble after cooking.....at least that is what mama said!! :)
one year I did too many eggs and it was too much. So last year I did it without

That is worth the shorter commute. 1100 anywhere in LA is not bad at all. You can do maybe 100 less out in Sun Valley where the horse properties are, but then you're saddled with a 3 hour commute every day.
10 minutes to work, I save a $100 a week in gas

Yet, it was not to long ago that a supermarket was selling turkeys for a huge discounted price if I bought a certain amount of food.

Long gone are those days. Food and gas prices are extremely high.
They do it at Harp's Foods every year.

You're at SpaceX? How do you like it? Is it true about the long hours?
I just started, love it. Food is subsidized. Food trucks cafeteria, all $5. Free frozen yogurt, bananas, oranges, sodas, coffee at the coffee bar, sparkling water.

Hours mandatory 50hrs. I am nights, Thursday through Sunday so I do 4-12 hour days. I am told I can work as much as I want so that is the plan. Work so I can pay my house in Connecticut off in 3 years and retire.

I take it that the price of eggs is some new right wing thing.

Like low flush toilets, incandescent light bulbs, and the “QUERTY" conspiracy.

Why?

I thought that there were no eggs in bread though.
Brioche is a type of bread made with eggs (and lots of butter) to enrich the dough. There's also a Jewish bread Challah that contains eggs too.

I can make bread with or without eggs.
