I was willing to be a part of it. I recall that I was against Clinton through the first 6 years of his administration and it dawned on me that he was doing a pretty good job.

His self control was, shall we say, sucked out of him, but the results were good.

Obama has excellent self control. Rigid and directed. His results are abysmal. I worked with a salesman one who was asked what he needed to sell an account. This question is a blank check. He asked for too little, got all of it, and came up short. He lost his job shortly after that.

Another half million Americans lost their jobs. Obama's telling the world that the US is sorry to have finished first for so long.

Obama means never having to say we're sorry again.

We can START with the 3 million jobs in the US auto industry, in manufacturing, supply, dealers and other satellite companies, many of the small business variety...so pea brain Republicans wanted to WIPE OUT Bush's 8 years on the jobs front...PLUS it would mean 3 million people ON the public dole... such economic Einsteins these pea brain Republicans.

Then we have GOP economic guru Grover Norquist; when he's not purging the party of moderate Republicans that don't meet his "purity" test, he's out to destroy the hard working middle class...

How's that middle class doing with the superior judgment calls of the POTUS? They going to wait another 18 months for those new jobs? Or biting their nails wonderin' if their job will be saved? The re-election campaign should be just about ready to launch by then....

President George W. Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office.

His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton’s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. Bush did in his four years in office.

Here’s a look at job creation under each president since the Labor Department started keeping payroll records in 1939. The counts are based on total payrolls between the start of the month the president took office (using the final payroll count for the end of the prior December) and his final December in office.

Because the size of the economy and labor force varies, we also calculate in percentage terms how much the total payroll count expanded under each president. The current President Bush, once taking account how long he’s been in office, shows the worst track record for job creation since the government began keeping records. –Sudeep Reddy
