Do You Really Want This Alternative to Trump as President?

I don't want to see either man run. But that's what we're stuck with.
The topic is Governor DeSantis and his going to war with one of his state's biggest employers to make his play to his competitor's base.
And it's backfiring spectacularly. Spilling over into the lucrative convention business.
Now it's actually costing the state of Florida real money. And Florida's economy is built on the tourism and convention trade.
Do want to see a reactionary like this as your President?
You're making false statements. Desantis is not a Reactionary, he is a mainstream Republican who promotes family values, and opposes deviant behaviors.
How is Bud Lite's new ad campaign promoting the "woke" tranny working out for them?
Desantis is pushing for family values, which is a net positive for businesses.
Lawless and deviant Democrat cities and states are the ones losing business.

In a sane country these perverts would be doing time

Nobody is Hitler. It's really an overused term by the right. Governor DeSantis is coming close to Mussolini with his overt fascism, but it doesn't seem to be getting any traction.
And he's making people question his competence as a business leader by costing his state millions of tourism dollars and going to war with one of his state's biggest employers.
I call bullshit.
FL is getting overrun with people fleeing democrat hell holes.
Bud Lite proves that Desantis has the winning strategy by opposing deviants.

Speaking strictly from a business policy standpoint. I know Ron DeSantis was hailed as being the Trump alternative in 2024.
So far, Ron has let his inner policy maker out to play and turned off a lot of people with his crusade against what he calls "woke".
Now, it's costing his state money. While I've never seen Trump formulate a policy on his own, I've also never seen him be directly anti-business.

Do Republicans really want to see a governor who is openly hostile to businesses in his own state become President?

First and foremost - this is not what conservatives think, this is CNN's version of what conservatives think.
CNN and company are all attacking DeSantis relentlessly, all the while ignoring the FACT that he is one of the most successful governors in the entire country.
Talking only about his Disney problems and woke statements - and not showing the other 47 points he made in speeches. He has made appearances and speeches that have been over 45 minutes long - CNN and company dissect out the "woke" parts and portray that is all he talked about.

I gotta ask again, what is conservative's fascination with gays and trans people? It's like you're stuck in perpetual culture wars.
InBev took a hit in sales because of their marketing campaign. Those sales are steadily climbing back. And soon, everyone who was so adamant about cancel culture (funny how that pops up among you righties) will drink it again.

Ron DeSantis is a fascist. Went to war with one of his state's largest employers and is costing his state millions of needed tourism dollars. That means jobs, livelyhoods. Something that voters tend to remember come re-election time.
If I were a Republican, I'd shun this man and tell him to hone his brand for 2028 (which he should have done anyway).

Actually, it's quite the opposite. You have a bunch of elites flocking in and driving those snowbirds out for other states. Driving up the cost of living.
Worse, the governor's draconian policies on immigrants is affecting the labor market for corporations in his state. They are leaving for other states.
That's not going to make corporate donors very happy.

He is successful according to religious conservative guidelines. Yes he is popular in Florida. But that popularity isn't translating to the rest of the country where mainstream Republicans are looking at DeSantis as someone who will drive away all but the most zealous of voters. Until 1982, the Republican party didn't choose its candidates based on cultural issues. If Ron is going to try to spread his merry brand of fascism to the rest of the country, it's going to be rejected. It already is.

That should bring the crime rate down.

Typing bullshit talking points proves nothing, Prove what you type with links.
Bud Lite is DEAD, book it.
Ron Desantis to his credit, stood up for traditional Family Values, and received the thanks of moral people all over the country.
Disney's outrageous prices are costing them millions of tourist dollars.
FL is one of the most popular states, unlike democrat run hell holes people are fleeing.

Irrelevant.

He never had any national traction.

And clearly, Republicans do NOT want him as president.

The End

Exactly what I said - and you just proved it here with this astounding misinformed statement.

FL opposes open borders and has new laws in-place to control migrants, a net positive.
Its nice to see how concerned you are for Republican donors, but have no fear, FL Republicans have plenty of money.

I'm sorry, you tend to post the same BS links from the same unreliable sources to back your arguments up. I don't. People have been writing about the migrant exodus for a while now.

The reality is that states like Florida (and Texas) are suffering from rising costs of living as more people migrate there.
So they will shortly enjoy the same issues as states like NY, NJ, and some of the other coastal states enjoy.

If the "moral" vote is what DeSantis is angling for, he won't get the nomination. And, if I were a Republican living in other parts of the country,
I'd be worried that putting my support behind someone who will go to war with a business at the drop of a hat would be futile.

So, the key to saving the country in your opinion is...fascism?...huh?
I’m an Authoritarian. I have always been open and honest about that. I don’t hide it att all. About 95% of the population is utterly incapable of making the proper decisions necessary to maintain a decent society.
