Zone1 Do you fear G-d?

Enough to try to not disappoint. To ask for forgiveness and mean it? Do you fear G-d more than the evil of man?

So much to uphold and so little time.
In Judaism, fearing God is an ethical and religious concept that means to obey God's will and to revere God. It's often expressed as yirat shamayyim, which means "the fear of Heaven".

America needs to lead the way and defend Judeo-Christian values. The divisions are dissipating and people of both faiths understand that we have FAR more in common than any differences.

Americas must make sure that Canada as well as Europe, realize that abuses against citizens of people of faith is not going to be tolerated. America is no longer going to blindly fund abusive, creepy bureaucracies.

Forcing "someone" to be virtuous isn't virtuous.

no, america should lead the way to bring the crucifiers to justice.

to reverse again their, the crucifiers reversal of the reprieve made by the heavens during the time of noah granting humanity a second chance to create their own heaven on earth.

Yawwwn. Is this some sort of aphrodisiac for you or something?

I don't believe in God and I don't fear anything. I spend my time occupying my mind while I wait patiently for Death.

There's a lot to be said for occupying one's mind. Of course that all depends upon what one occupies it with. And as for death... we came from dust and we shall return to dust but what a wonderful journey it is in between.

Why would anyone who loves their children wish them to fear them Ding? ~S~
How are you using 'fear'? For example, in your family what was the children's greatest fear: A fear their parents would hurt them? Or, a fear they would disappoint their parents?
Yet, thats exactly how god rules. By the sword.
Used Biblically, the definition of sword can go beyond that of a weapon. It can mean chastise, and the etymology/root behind chastise is to purify or discipline.

I meant that of a weapon. "do as i say or die and spend eternity in hell"
Certainly isnt "love"

I will come to earth to be tortured, hung on wood that I created, and bleed out to cover your sins so that you can live in Paradise forever.
Love,
God.
Do as I say my child, or spend eternity burning. Or I might even burn your entire village to the ground. Including your children.
Love
God

Then talk to Dante about that perspective. Jesus' perspective is that a great celebration is in the works, and all are invited. Some will decide not to accept the invitation as they are involved in something that is more important to them.

Accept the free gift of propitiation, that I died to give you, so that we will never be separated because of evil. Ask and I will forgive every sin, save one, that could keep us apart. I will forget all of your inequities. Accept the sacrifice I made for you, and no one can remove you from my hand. Your eternity is bright.
Love,
Your Heavenly Father.

What more do you require of Him?

I'll go out on a limb and claim we're confusing fear with respect Meri....~S~
The translation from Hebrew to English - is fear of the Lord. The etymology of the Hebrew (yirat) is awe, reverence, majestic--and has nothing to do with terror. Back in the day, that was/is the archaic definition of the English word 'fear' - awe, reverence. English words evolve, and their definition/usage often change as time goes on as English is a subjective language. Hebrew, which is not subjective retains the original meaning of the word.

The Hebrew word for respect is khibud, not yirat.
