Omnipotent would be the more accurate term.I find that weird as well. But, it's done by well-intended people that just don't understand the difference between a name and a title.

I was speaking of fear, not "too much fear".Actually, too much fear will cause you to not do anything
Respectfully, for one must follow their conscience, it comes across as pompous unless one is a practicing Jew, a people set apart. Christians are called to go forth to proclaim God and His kingdom to all the nations. 'Lord' also refers to God. Should you type that as 'L-rd' when referring to God?All the problems in the world and my "-" has riled you up.

It's not pompous, it makes sense to me. To such a degree that I am worried if I type it out with the letter o. The other day for the first time in years I said "omg" out loud and I immediately felt guiilt and even fear. I dint want to offend or use his name in vain, it was a very rare and unusual statement by me. We should all try to be humble, it is what is required as we hopefully stand for principle.Respectfully, for one must follow their conscience, it comes across as pompous unless one is a practicing Jew, a people set apart. No reply needed, just something to consider. Conscience should be your guide.
The term goad relates the concept most accurately - Zone1 - Made In The Image Of Goad - yearn emotional emphasis for shock with awe for an inscription of letters is a nomian element , which antinomianism does not indoctrinate .All the problems in the world and my "-" has riled you up.Yes and G-d is not HIS name either."God" is not his name. It is his position or title. There are names for each member of the Godhead. The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Those are not the names of each either. They are again titles and positions. So, not to over use their names and taking the names in vain.
So you admit that it is how one lives his life - how he acts toward others, the good deeds he does, the kindness and compassion he shows, his moral behavior, etc. - that determines whether he goes to Heaven rather than whether he believes or not that someone born 2000 years ago was Gd’s son?Life is about trials and tribulations. People have to live life, to either prove that they are fully qualified for heaven, or like Joe Bribem, for hell.
None of us is perfect, and Gd does not expect that of us. He will not block our path to Heaven for an occasional transgression. It is who we have been OVERALL that He judges us.It's not pompous, it makes sense to me. To such a degree that I am worried if I type it out with the letter o. He , Gd - see post 66 : Zone1 - Do you fear G-d? .None of us is perfect, and Gd does not expect that of us. He will not block our path to Heaven for an occasional transgression. It is who we have been OVERALL that He judges us.
Remember, I didn't say you are pompous, it just comes across that way for several reasons. First, it is not a Hebrew word, and other than Orthodox, most concur it only applies to the written Hebrew. Further, written is often emphasized and therefore does not apply to digital. It's not pompous, it makes sense to me. To such a degree that I am worried if I type it out with the letter o. May be the same thing. Father in Heaven is also a title and omnipotent. Elohim or whatever your religion names him by is the name.Omnipotent would be the more accurate term.

Thank you. That’s the Jewish belief as well.

Turning Gd (and Jesus for Christians) into curses is a direct violation of one the Ten Commandments.Remember, I didn't say you are pompous, it just comes across that way for several reasons. First, it is not a Hebrew word, and other than Orthodox, most concur it only applies to the written Hebrew. Further, written is often emphasized and therefore does not apply to digital.
However, along the same line, for me it is well past nauseating how Christians and others in the Western world have turned 'God' and 'Jesus' into curse and swear words. No other people of faith use their name(s) for God to curse and/or swear. Shame on all of us. While it is true I never have, it is also true that (other than with family) I have never firmly (and thunderously) objected when I've heard people around me use it in this way.
Mentally, I prefer to override any use of God by substituting YHWH (notice missing vowels) or Abba, and YHSH (with correct pronunciation) for Jesus. Even so, I believe Christians should lead a crusade on insisting and condemning the use of both 'God' and 'Jesus' as curse/swear words. In is unconscionable. Both names should be used/said with great reverence, and when not, it invites a curse upon themselves.
Huh?It seems to me that those who fear God wouldn't divide his Name.. just sayin
