Dinner meal ideas

I am stuck in the proverbial rut as to what to make for supper. Nothing sounds good and nothing new comes to mind........but ya gotta eat every stinking day.

Things we've had lately and/or is often on the menu.........

Asian type dishes.......stir fry/chow mein, almond chicken & gravy, sweet & sour chicken or pork, mongolian beef, curry, won ton soup,
Mexican......tacos every which way imaginable, burritos, enchiladas, one pot shells & beef, sometimes red sometimes green or verde.
meatloaf
swiss steak without tomatoes
salisbury steaks with mushroom onion gravy
Miisissippi pot roast, have also used chicken in place of beef
Italian......spaghetti, chicken parmesan, sausage & peppers, pizza
Breakfast for supper.......eggs benedict, sausage breakfast bowl (sausage, onions, peppers, potatoes, mushrooms and beaten egg cooked together), pancakes, french toast.
Soup & sandwiches

Anybody have any other ideas???

An easy one and don't get me wrong. It can be either lobster or shrimp lightly fried in butter...just enough to brown them. (Meat only). Separately make a white cheese sauce with milk and Brie or Camembert ...stir adequately until the cheese basically dissolves/melts...try not to boil but turn heat down if starts to bubble. I usually use a fair amount of cheese; 3-4 ounces. Not too much milk. Have an Avocado cubed ready to blend. I like to cook the lobby/shrimp in ginger pieces as well. Can add a bit of onion to the sauteed meat while cooking also...very much to taste.

Allow the cheese sauce to rest a little and the meat to come off the heat; then blend meat, sauce and avo. Do NOT further cook. Then watch the football!!

It's quite easy. All ready in about 15-20 mins.

Dude......you need to cut back on the holy WTF!!??!? factor.......too late, I've lost my appetite and maybe gonna get sick:omg:

If only I could ban you from any food threads.........raw horsemeat & wiggle jiggle pizza. UGH
Don't knock it 'till you've tried it!

NO, just some things aren't meant to be eaten.....not by me anyway. If you like it, then by all means you can have my share too.

I may never look at a horse, apples or pizza the same ever again..........and octopus are supposed to be in the ocean or aquarium, not on MY dinner plate.

So basically a lobster, cheese and avocado shake???

IDK about that one either.

Just once a year, in October when the weather starts getting nippy, I crave a toasted, buttered English muffin, slathered with braunschweiger, topped with shredded cheddar and broiled until the cheese starts to brown.

Once in a while, octopus sashimi is okay. Called tako.

A bit chewy, but the subtle, freshly fishy taste is good.

Sashimi? At first I thought it said salami......say wut?

But still no.........1. that sounds Japanese and something Unkotare would like and he's not allowed to post in this thread anymore :auiqs.jpg:

and 2. It's that rubbery chew.....if I want that I'll eat a tire.....so it's a no for me.

There is a store I shop at once in a while and they have alot of different ethnic foods. They carry a 'seafood melody' mix that has things like clams, mussels and some others in it, but it also has the very small whole octopus's.....just not my thing I guess

They also have containers of pork blood.......WTF do people eat with that?????? Nevermind, I don't want to know. :omg:

Pork blood! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

But I think they make sausage from it. No thanks.

Sashimi is any kind of raw seafood. My late husband was Japanese, so we had it occasionally. Seattle is a good city for it -- a million sushi restaurants.

OK, I THINK I can understand the sausage angle and seems like that is a thing in some sausage, isn't it? Like summer sausage or something similar?? Yeah I don't know that I'd want any of it either.

And what is with RAW seafood anyway? Just no...........fruits & veggies yes, but meat or seafood NOOOO

Everyone is entitles to their tastes.

I tried an English thing called Blood Pudding, or Black Pudding. It depends on who makes it.
