Yes, he did. Quite often at that. He was a proud Muslim - he took a pilgrimage to Mecca which is a "requirement" in their religion. He fasted during Ramadan. He was quite devout.

When Brother Malcolm X first converted to Islam, it was through the Nation of Islam, an American offshoot of Islam and, more often than not, he would quote Elijah Mohammed, the spiritual founder of the NOI.

NOI members weren't recognized by Saudi officials as legitimate Muslims and NOI member are not normally allowed to make The Haj.

However, after Malcolm X broke with the NOI, he was granted the right to enter Saudi Arabia for the purposes of making The Haj.

After that break, he became a more mainstream Muslim.
