Bestselling novelist Stephen King is the latest prominent left-wing figure to quit X / Twitter following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, with the writer claiming he is leaving the platform because the “atmosphere has just become too toxic.”

Comment:
Thanks Stephen.
You leaving X will make it less "toxic".
BTW, he is only hurting himself.

.

Anyone who just leaves X instead of leaving the country is totally fake.

I can't recall who said it, or where, but someone was spot on when they described King as resembling everyone's lesbian aunt.

X isn't an airport, he doesn't need to announce his departure. Just GTFO.

He will be back. There have been those who tried leaving x for alternate social media platforms like Post and Mastadon, but those are not gaining enough traction to oust X. Like it or not, its still the platform to be on

Geezus.... These people don't mind dishing it out but the moment they have to take any of it back they fall apart.

Yeah sort of reminds me of when Neil Young left Spotify because it aired Joe Rogan, then came right back when he started losing money
