My parents get Showtime, so I'll be checking it out over Thanksgiving weekend for sure. It looks really good.
Do you watch Weeds? If you do, don't say anything about the season 2 finale, I haven't seen it yet, and I hear it's a doozy.

Bought all the DVD's a week ago. Watched through them. That's some f'd up shit right there, but it sure is addictive.
A like-able Miami police forensics expert moonlights as a serial killer of criminals who he believes have escaped justice
I only got a couple of DVDs. My set has about 2 episodes per disc. That being said, you're probably not going to find it. Mine aren't exactly what one would call legal per se...I'm not caught up on all episodes, how many DVDs did you buy? I was a little disappointed with episode 4, does it pick up again after that?
And ya, some f'd up shit, a'ight.
No, we're talking about the same show. The thing is, I'm in China, you can get the DVD for anything here literally the day it comes out in the States.
For example, I've already got Stranger then Fiction, the Fountain, and every new Colbert Report for the past 3 months on DVD. I even got Casino Royale in DVD quality 2 days before it hit theatres stateside. The reason is because China's illegal DVD market is so widespread that you can get any movie, tv show, music, or computer game within hours of their initial release.
Dan said:That's awesome. Is that why a lot of the best American bootlegs have Chinese subtitles?
Is it bad that I really wish there was that big of an illegal DVD market here?
It occured to me earlier that even with the $1,200 tickets over here I'm still going to end up making money on this trip simply because I'm saving so much money on food, clothing, DVDs, video games, and even jewelry. Everything in China is just so riddiculously cheap that the intial costs are justified.Dan said:That's tremendous! I had no clue any of this was going on!
I haven't seen it yet. I'm going tonight to see it at a movie theatre. The visuals looked so good in the preview that I want to experience them on the big screen.Dan said:By the way, have you watched The Fountain yet?
It looks like a lot of the critics panned it, but I was kind of expecting that. Plus I've had a couple of friends whose opinions I trust a lot more tell me that they started crying by the end of it. And these are people I didn't know had tear ducts. Right now I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm ready to be let down. Have you seen it? What's your opinion?
