You've just described why R's initiated mid cycle gerrymandering (passed by R controlled legislatures, not voter referendums), are trying to pass the SAVE Act, trying to pass voter ID laws, and are trying to obtained voter rolls.

They're doing all of that DESPITE ANY EVIDENCE OF WIDESPREAD VOTER FRAUD.

Rather than litigate that, because there is plenty of voter fraud going on, why would anyone be against ONLY strict photo ID if they did not want to cheat ? And the Dems gerrymander like crazy too.

I'd vote it down as we do not have the means necessary to enact this. Someone who has voted for 50 years shows up at the polls to vote. They don't drive. They get a provisional ballot BUT for it to count they have to get a photo I.D.

At least here in WV the only way to do that is at the state Capitol. So someone has to get a ride three hours away to be able to do what they have done for the last 50 years.

I lived in Florida. The stupid Prog Socialist feminist running one of the three Prog counties in SE Florida put out a voting pamphlet that was screwed up. Instead of voting for Gore many voted for Pat Buchanan. Then the race was called early for W. y some of the media including FOX while the Florida panhandle was still voting as it is on central time. The panhandle is massively heavily Republican, and many voters just left the polls and went home. There was also mail in questions. Then the reality. In a close race nationally, Al Gore lost his home state of Tennessee. The one who elected him, Senator before he was V.P.. If he wins his home state, he is President. Clinton won Tennessee in 1992 and 1996.

No, they didn't. Republicans don't want certain types of voter IDs to count, such as college IDs. They want to discriminate against groups that mostly vote for Democrats. That has always been the case.

The easiest, fairest solution is for the Federal government or the states to mail standard voter IDs to every registered voter, instead of making people go somewhere to get it themselves. But Republicans will not support that.

Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act,
CHIPS and Science Act
Bipartisan Safer Communities Act

All Democrat proposed bills.
