Democrats are turning themselves into the enemies of democracy

IMHO, we have the clearest path this coming midterm to gain a super majority and silence them completely....My God, can you imagine? They lose their damned minds....

You can't lose what you don't have

The problem for Schumer’s message, however, is that holding out for more Medicaid spending is the opposite of standing up for democracy. Rather than shutting down the government over unilateral executive actions, or presidential refusals to spend money authorised by Congress, Schumer is trying to undo the biggest thing passed by a Republican Congress. He’s trying to use leverage to win a victory he didn’t have the votes to get. It completely contradicts the Democrats’ theme that they’re the ones standing up for Congress and representative government.

Democrats are talking themselves into forcing a government shutdown. But they can’t seem to agree on why.

Schumer can speak all he wants, but money talks. So long as his key demand is for more Medicaid money, voters are apt to see through all his slogans about democracy.

Comment: This is another highlight of exactly why not only Democrats lost in the last election, but why they will continue to lose....They have forsaken American citizens in favor of Foreigners that entered our country illegally. Not only that, but they don't have a solid leadership voice....Their senior members are going off in all directions with no clear message, other than Trump triggers them....]]

Didn’t we learn this during Covid? The democrats are authoritarian to their core. They won’t be happy until they get to tell you how to vote or flat out keep you from having a vote.

It's really sad to see you devolve into progressive liberal know nothing unless CNN tells you....It's not a red herring, it's been laid out there complete with Johnson providing transparency in letting you see what their proposal was....It's ridiculous.

As the Admiral said, a CR (continuing resolution) is just a furtherance of current spending to give time to go through the normal appropriations process.
So why would Democrats object to that? Because, it's exactly what Speaker Johnson laid out that it was, and you are lying your ass off.
He is just consumed with TDS and I can find no other reason for his continuous lies.

You image said the increase went from 888 to over 1900 a month. Then you text said an increase in 74 a month.

Your numbers don’t match.

WW
I didn't say anything, thank you! I didn't post the numbers.

What is $888 per month times 12 months in a year? Isn't it $12,216?

Why yes it is! Math is hard when you have TDS.

The subsidies were temporary, times up.
Are you one of the lethal injection supporters, or just don't care for anybody but the 1% at the top and their return on campaign dollars?

Democrats crossed that Rubicon a very long time ago.

Sorry about that. I thought I was responding to Kyzr.

Yeah everybody knows what the Democrat definition of "democracy" is...."We get our way no matter what the voters say"

Hope the democrats stocked up on K-Y Jelly, they're gonna need it after this imbroglio is over.
All other parties and ideologies are fascist don't ya know.

I know. I know. You are against low paid workers affording healthcare for their families, like all Republicans. They are less advantages, unworthy and just do not deserve to have health benefits, other than emergency care at the emergency room. Are they on a par with the homeless a nationally known MAGA mouthpiece suggested the government should just give lethal injections, to solve the problem?
1. The democrats want the $1.5T the BBB just cut put back in. NFW.
2. The Covid subsidy is temporary, it expires the end of 2025, period.
3. Kilmead was talking about the criminally insane, like the guy who stabbed Iryna in the neck for no reason, not the homeless.

You image shows an increase of $1,018 dollars per month or $12,216 per year.
What am I missing? WW
I'll agree with you if those are "family?" monthly premiums. I got another price below from AI of $544 a month instead of $1,906, and that $544 can be lower for low income folks. So getting real numbers to compare is tougher than I thought.

15th post
Yeah except ...

... and the Democrats voted for the COVID Obamacare tax credits to end at the end of this year.

What's the problem?

You don't want immigrants to have health insurance?
You don't want them to have insurance on their vehicles or houses?

This thread is total gibberish. Yet again, total misunderstanding of “democracy”.
Why don't you enlighten us then....Because from what I see, the dems don't like that they can't load a simple CR up with their wish list of tax payer theft for their agenda's so their throwing a tantrum....

Thank you. I found the source of the 114% increase (link below).

The screen shot wasn't clear and I assumed that it was montly premiums. Actually the 888 / 1906 numbers were annual. My bad.
