Democrats are losing the message war

As a left leaning Independent, I take no joy in announcing this, but it's time to face an unpleasant fact:

No matter if you love him or hate him, few will argue that Donald Trump was pretty good at getting his message out. His message frequently made peoples blood boil, but no one would accuse Trump of being camera shy. Unfortunately, Joe Biden's low key, plodding persona, and (less than) dynamic speeches have slowly eroded his popularity and poll numbers to dismal levels. It's no secret that Republicans will slam Biden, no matter what he does (even if he occasionally backs policies once supported by Trump) but now even swing voters are turning against Biden, and by extension, Democratic candidates. In today's political world where messaging is more important than policy, intellect, logic or even sanity, the Democrats need a new messenger, and badly. The one they now have is losing the message war. :dunno:
All true. The GOP will tear the Dems a new one in 2024 IF the GOP does not stupidly try running their Failed Orange Messiah a second time.

The president might be incapable of giving out any message but democrats get the message out O.K. It's just the wrong message. As long as they side with the freakazoid community against parental control of education they are doomed to failure.
Truth.

"DEMOCRATS ARE LOSING THE MESSAGING WAR"

*Democrats control all branches of Government and just had a liberal Justice put to the Supreme Court*

WE'RE LOSING GUYS! ARGHHHH

Better now than October. A lot can change, but the right seems to be rooting for the country to go downhill. I guess it’s the thought of 1/6 and Putin-love clips running 24/7 that has them all in a tizzy!

That is called reality and journalism. The whole world knows you are terrifyingly misinformed. You have proven scumbag liar Murdoch and internet nuts...And the giant orange con man...And his pal Putin. If you believe the election was stolen, you are certified...
It is not 'we' who are misinformed. After all, you neve question your bias or the bias that feeds you.

Good luck.

The problem is that they keep telling themselves that it's messagING, or the messengER, where they're failing, when it fact it's the message itself that people are rejecting. Dems need to let go of identity politics and I don't know if they can. They're pretty deeply invested in it.

The thing is - Dems wouldn't have to go that far. There are plenty of R's, holding their nose and voting for Trumpsters, because they are utterly fed up with the Dems identity politics and their focus on social engineering. Democrats could say - "Ok, we hear you. We're going back off on that shit and shoot for policies that have broad appeal", and they would win handily. For some reason, they can't bring themselves to do that. Even when it means turning the country over to authoritarian populists.

Meh, I hope they remain true to themselves. No sense in them attempting to fool us any worse than they have tried to now.
